  2. wow i can barely make a chair, and their are people who are doing amazing carving like that.
  3. try a website called baileys Bailey's - Arborist Tools or honeybrothers Arborist Equipment - Tree Surgeon Supplies - Climbing Accessories I have ordered stuf from both websites and are very good
  4. instead of using a prussik you can try other methods like a hitch climber or a lock jack they and are both very good once you get used to, my friend bought a lock jack yesterday and he loves it already. I would recommend a lanyard, i use them when i am climbing and are very good instead of using both ends of your climbing line.

  6. i climb on my one all the time and don't have a problem, but do use i as a 2nd anchor point
  7. yes i did see that guys head with all the stitches, i believe that it was a widow maker that hit him, it must of really hurt

  9. i wish i could pole climb like on this programme but have just started it and need to get loads of practice and stop thinking about falling and thinking about the two pieces of metal and a rope holding you in the tree

  13. i have to say we are currently doing pole climbing at college and i have the same problem, I just can not get into my head that a piece of rope and two metal spikes are going to hold you up in a tree.

  18. how are chainsaw trousers not essential items like what hamaddryad said, They are very important. I know they are expensive but if they save your leg then they seem cheap, If you know what i mean.

  22. The guy i work for wears his company jacket/fleece and his chainsaw trousers and boots. He had just finished a job and had another round the corner so when he arrived he said sorry for the state i am in a have just come from a job, they were fine about it and he got the job.

  24. yes that would not surprise me if a few airlines went out of business because of it. maybe some of the small airlines like air malta etc
  25. This happened to Mt St helens and ash went around the world and caused chaos for 2 - 3 weeks, flights were canceled and other transports were disrupted and stuff like that. Hope it does not last for that long!!
