  1. not im sure its easy start as my cs420es has a really soft pull on the pull cord to make easy pull starting and have the cs330t that dont of the ES and you can feel the compression
  2. i have said when i come on to site and corned my work area off that's my work site not a building site any more so no need for cscs
  3. right have been using the tanaka for at lest two days for the past 2 months still haven't seem to got any power behind it and seems slow in the cut and bogs down in stuff no more than 5inch its rather annoying its got to be looked at or modified some way
  4. had a old guy i worked for that got on the subject of killing weeds and he insisted note killed weeds better than caustic soda for his dive have to admit i couldn't see one in his gravel and i looked hard
  5. can see you are hard at it looks quite a job you have there
  6. just got two new mowers turned up today for less then 600 pound Oleo-Mac G53-TK allroad plus 4 and a mountfield sp533 both 20nhc cuts self propelled and will be out with them Friday earning there keep back
  7. you can get some petrol auger Chinese ones from ebay Germany delivered to you with 3 bits 100mm 150mm and 200mm bits for around 100 euro's even if it olny lasts say 10 jobs its only then 10pound a job couldn't hire one cheaper
  8. the echo are grease heads i have the srm330 11 years old and get loads of abuse every week from march to October never changed the plug just tap out the air filter never gave me any problems when it do die its a echo one again
  9. my 135 can be a night mare to start seems to much compression takes3 times more effort to start than the 365 but i have to say the 135 have loads of power for a little thing and surprised how well built for the money only bought at a saw near chipper but finding been using it for trimming up limbs on the ground cutting down fence post to size to felling small trees to 12inch
  10. just recently my local tip site for chip have increased there tip rates for chips 500% yes quite a big jump 500% but for other green/garden waste stuff have only rise by25% so now on the look for other sites around my usual work area's so can any one help for know of anywhere 90% of the time it will be clean chips and logs
  11. i would up my budget for a mower that would last
  12. i will take your advice as you defiantly know better then me as it sound advice and give the alko oil change every month do you have any advice on mowers as i im looking to getting a new one and keeping the alko for a backup on the truck
  13. they do get the 1st oil changed at as the recommended in the manuals then a second about 30 hours then 6months like i said i do work them very hard its just seems they they dont last long with me and as a result i don't get warrenty on my mowers from my local dealer its not like i do stupid stuff and abuse them by trying to cut 2ft high lawns its just think is the sear amount of lawns and hours done with them of did for got about the rotovator i have that had a b&s engine put started to miss run off and run up and down on revs so got angry with that one as a resault it died buy a lump hammer and replaced with a honda engine gx160 about 15years old and runs sweet i am in no way of slating the b&s engines its just i have not had the best of luck with them apart from the one that's on the alko which i have said is sweet as a nut and dont use any oil and thats why i decided to try keep my mowers under £450 as the snapper and harry and hayter where quite expensive for the time they lasted
  14. all mowers where new i do just a lot of grass two full 15hr days every fortnight loads of small lawns approximately = too about 3 acres there always checked every day for oil cleaned filters one a month and oil change every 6months so reasonably looked after had a harry mower with b&s engine that just stopped while cutting a lawn and refused to start back up not sized just wont fire up even though had spark and fule going there but did seem low compression had snapper with the 675b&s the metal engine casings cracked and then caused a large hole had a hayter with b&S engine that melted the piston and sized and had plenty of oil so dont know what happen there had a mountfield b&s engine that caught on fire while cutting grass and last one was a oleo-mac with b&s engine and that lasted 5months and snaped the con rod now on the alko engine is perfect but broke the lift up grass flap and repaired with wire and clips and broken drive cable and none of the local dealers for lawn mowers can get parts for me
  15. last week near spalding whaplode near the gun shop guy was working taking a tree down when a white transit stop guy got out and ask for the number or a card of the guy that was working while he was giving his details his new stihl ms261 was stolen i had saw hedge trimmer blower and tool box taken out my cab in moulton chapel worked there for 8 years same and never locked the truck as its a dead end quite cul de sac asked locals all they seen was a white transit
  16. personally i don't like the b @s engines but due to 85% of mowers having them these days there not much choice on the past 4 mowers i have in the last 6 years all have had B&S engines over 5.5hp all died with in 18months but currently got an alko with a 675 b&s engine wich starts 2nd pull and is now 20months old
  17. Dave willock at wisbech st Marys £5 pound a load for chip or 15pound a load for not chip pm me i will give you his details or got fishing lake just on the out side of march that will take chip free tip as they use it for path ways
  18. fr jones getv my vote but all the guys on the side is very good thats why they are there
  19. there a local place near me selling Soay sheep for £ 30 each
  20. thanks martin i will try and get a couple of tanks trough it first and if still not to my liking it will end up at spudulike for some work i thinks it may adjust on the carburetor to be ok if i find something to fit the round pins the echo was a us import but was spot on from new
  21. the saw was a US import worked out half price the adjusting screws just look like round spline pins would like to give it a little advance up the anti vib is super smooth though but im going to carry on using the echo and leave it for a back up if i can get it tuned up
  22. i have got a Tanaka TCS3301S had it for about 7 months but never used it into now its a new saw just got it out the box seems to be under powered compared to my echo cs330t the new tanaka don't seem to pick up its revs so quick like its only getting half its revs to me it needs adjusting on the H on the carb removed to cover for the adjusting screws to see they have no slot for a screw driver are these caps for is it a preset/ none adjusting if not i might see if someone could port it like i siad its meant to be very close on spec wise to my echo cs330t but my 7 year old echo just have more grunt and a clearer rev compared to the Tanaka TCS3301S
