  1. A lady in the village has been raising money for Colchester zoo, she's got half the village involved by asking them to create there own zoo. This polar bear has made me smile when I've passed by. There must be a hundred if not more cuddly toys about.
  2. Take trigger_andy up on his offer, I'm sure you'd give your address away to someone from eBay or the like. And get out of bed ya lazy bugger, it's gone seven.
  3. It's hard to tell from those photos but the vertical pipe looks on the skew, try taking it out and squaring it up, pour boiling water over the reducer to soften it so that you can get it right the way home. A couple of new jubilee clips wouldn't do any harm, they never seem to tighten properly when they are reused.
  4. Good shout, started it with new batteries. relay fired then jammed. I'll give it a look tomorrow.
  5. Cheers Bill, new battery's been drained. The bit I cant get my head round is the isolater had been turn on, so I don't understand where I'm loosing it. I know it's working because the light on the tacho is off.
  6. Got an electrical problem on the old girl, fecker wont start. I put a new battery on it last week, there are two, 24v, it started first time, switched it off and now it won't start. It's an ex Snap-on truck so was modded from new, turning the ignition off doesn't stop the engine (this I'm told was done so the driver could get out lock the door and leave the engine running), you have to hit the kill switch to stop the engine ,there is also an isolator switch to isolate the batteries, to stop the tacho draining the batteries when parked up for a while. Which leads me to think it's the ignition switch itself), before I start ripping the dash apart any ideas?, bill pierce? John p, anyone? Just to add I've tested the kill switch, and isolator with a meter, they are both working.
  7. Gatepost according to the op.
  8. Having worked with pumps, but not hydraulic pumps, I thought cavitation was caused by low pressure on the intake side. No use but it might be a place to start?
  9. And you believe that, and it's why I'm staying away from other people just now. The hard left are just as abhorrent as the far right.
  10. That's how it is, no one knows how to deal with this virus. It's the arrogance of those telling us what to do that winds me up.
  11. Nothing serious, but I've got to go and explain myself, which I should be able to do, or I'm..
  12. I used to rent a pitch from a bloke years ago, the big house changed hands a few years back and the new owners turned the old cinema into a self contained flat, I fancied a week up in rural Saffordshire in the next few weeks, Steve who's extremely posh said "stay away Egg, the place is packed with people who don't give a flying". I said, "Don't you want me Steve", he said " no, you are more than welcome but I don't want you around here with these fecking people"... classic. my brother would have me but they're going to look after their grandaughter from next week, rules, or no rules. I don't know what's right or wrong!
  13. Yep the place seemed to be full of hippies and dropouts with money, or was I using the wrong pubs?
  14. I boated there on the Rochdale canal, lovely, but funny old place.
  15. Burglars are scum, but we simply don't have the prison space to send everyone down. I'm on trial on the 15th of June, that will be put back due to the virus putting cases back. It's a joke, my barrister has already told me what will happen if I'm found guilty, he's mates with the judge who will hear my case, and the prosecution barrister. If he's wrong it's good night Vienna.
  16. 3/4 probably should have been sent to court, but with no one there to give their side of the story it's game over. How many times do cases collapse due to lack of evidence? When was the last time you were on trial and actually saw how it works?
  17. You have to have reliable witnesses, not young girls who have been brutalised by these bastards, or you are going nowhere fast, A good barrister will pull anything apart in crown court.
  18. I've not a clue how it was/is allowed to go on, but no witness', no DNA, no guilty verdict. Simple really.
  19. The victims wouldn't go to court to give evidence, how do expect a guilty verdict in those circumstances?
  20. Nope, wrong about the grooming gangs, you could have a look for the facts, they are out there.
  21. No, Starmer had nothing to do with the Savile case, and it's documented it never crossed his desk.
  22. Yes there are a lot of people online talking shite.
  23. I might be your sweet summer child, but it's like this, you like them, I don't. No row needed.
  24. No personal experience, but I was doing the drains for a basement flat down the smoke the other lads were using something called Sika.
  25. Hebden Bridge, now there's a place!
