  1. Beat me to it by a few seconds, Johny. Hope you're keeping well mate.
  2. My point is, if like you've suggested you've been working full time through out this pandemic you have zero rights to put a claim in for a grant/loan.
  3. If you are still working full time as you've suggested all along on these sort of threads you haven't lost out due to the virus, unless you can prove differently, if when things calm down HMRC will be looking into who made fraudulent claims, I would have thought.
  4. We've (SE) have been told we will be weighed in in June. Not ideal, but that's how it is. Where is the money going to come from... Where do you think?
  5. When it's running (being driven) the glow plug light comes on, (this doubles up as the EML) no limp mode, no loss of power, no smoke, I drove 30-odd miles, all normal. When it's ticking over it sometimes runs lumpy or stalls.
  6. I don't know, I left the van with him, I've rang back to ask but he's out taking a car for a MoT, the dippy young lass on the phone is going to get him to call me when he gets back.
  7. Right then, the fecking thing is playing up again, I've taken it to a garage that have the Ford diagnostics reader, no faults detected!, what next?
  8. Missed this!, it gives me great displeasure loarding you, but you got the point across perfectly. Not one feck chucked into the conversation.
  9. No you don't, i get mine out of the yard I'm in, fresh the day they are laid. Now the weather has picked up the hens are laying everyday.
  10. I was pulled on a camp many years ago when some fool put one of those disposable BBQ's in a commercial bin before it had cooled, no one noticed until the bin was well on fire, to hot to drag it out of the way, we dragged caravans away from the bin to stop there being a right royal mess. They walk amongst us!
  11. New fuel filter, it started but was running 'lumpy'. YouTube said may have air in the system, leave it running, I was dubious, but tried it this morning, left it running for an hour then took it out for a run, seemed ok, got brave this afternoon and took it for a decent run, it seems ok. Find out tomorrow, got a 100 mile round journey to do.
  12. Comely, that's not a word you hear everyday. You know I'm far to discreet to name names. Yes it was Kev...
  13. Any port in a storm, David. Well that's what a sailor once told me.
  14. Same, worked in Spain (cash) through the mid nineties, no questions asked when I took a PAYE job on return. Lived on a narrow boat cruising the inland waterways a few years later, all work I did was cash. Bought a house after that, no questions asked. Those who say they got pulled in and made to pay tax must be those unlucky people that I try to avoid.
  15. What difference do you think it would make, Mark?
  16. No more paperwork, it's as simple as you say. Believe someone who's done it more than once. Bolam's mate can just crack on, he's done nothing wrong.
  17. I'm with you, stay under the radar if you can. If he needs to work (legit) he just needs to send in a return. Keep it under £12k/annum profit, or whatever it is now, he can carry on regardless.
  18. If I'm reading you correctly the only thing he may want to catch up on is NI, apart from that he can just reappear. Credit/finance will be tough for 6 years should he need it. Living off grid and having NFA isn't a hanging offence. Just turn up with some ID, NI number, jobs a good"un.
  19. I think it's terrific!, I can just imagine all those mincers on the rig every morning...
  20. No it wasn't my reason for having a poke at the BBC News. Shifting containers hey, also known as boxes on Felixstowe docks...
  21. Now now, Andrew, no need to politicalise every thread. Back in ya box if you're not needed on the rigs.
  22. I'll race ya on me Scooter, show you right up I would...
  23. You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all the people some of the time, but you can't...
  24. Let us know what you find.
  25. Sorry to hear about your usall driver, but watching the BBC News!?, and you call me a nutter!
