  4. This is a true story, I know that's feceked the contract, but it's true. i stayed with a mate and his family recently that I haven't seen for many years, they call themselves team (add your surname), all of them call each other the same name, no mum, dad... add daughters... I've never been so confused in my life

  10. I'm definitely in the mind of moving back to the Staffordshire Moorlands, work has picked up here so I'll ponder what my next move is. You must remember when you haven't lived in a pile of bricks for many years over the last thirty-odd things are transient.
  11. Yeah, Buh is a well used word around these parts, I'm a foreigner and find myself using it.
  12. That'd almost slipped my mind, a month or so back he was 'popping' out to get some pictures of a porch with the stairs in the background he'd made and installed in his mates house for less than £2k.
  13. You've got enough mouth on you Les, prove what I've said is wrong.
  14. It's only on start up that an electric motor needs its humph, about 2-3x it's running current, once it's running at it's working speed it drops down to its rated power requirement. Ramp the speed up gently and it will run fine.
  15. Soft starter?
  16. Give over!, you are a bit of a lefty when you've had things explained to you.
  17. Had another today, I've got a mate down from Doncaster next week to help me on a job. He finished the phone call with, I'll see th' on Saturday 'son'.
  18. I'm sure they aren't fenders Bud, what's being talked about here is they act like a SORT of bearing to run the ropes through/over I don't think they look right... no experience apart from reading and crayon pictures mind.
  19. @Stubby do you think these are from lumpy water boats?, I've no experience of being wreck less with lumpy boats as you know.
  20. I've never used or heard of anything like them in drainage, I've done far less fresh water to know.
  21. I don't think a freelancers insurance comes into it in the UK, it's the main contractors responsibility, A freelancer doesn't need insurance here. If it's a proper subbed out job, i.e., the contractor is running the job with his own kit on his own schedule they then need insurance.
  22. Same old same old Ted, putting the world to rights, go carefully, until next time.
  23. Calor aren't out of stock at this time of the year, they just don't want to advertise their prices. If you can get refillable bottles or find someone who knows what they are doing when filling standard bottles it's 71.1p a litre around here now. 47Kg Propane Gas Bottle | Commercial Gas Heating | Calor Shop SHOP.CALOR.CO.UK Buy Calor's 47kg Propane Gas Bottle. It's perfect for home energy supply instead of an LPG tank, as well as for...
  24. How far is March from you, hour or so?, 1 bottle is £47.50 now, buy ten and they are £40/each which is a massive saving, they are just short of £80/47kg bottle around here.
  25. Any time Ted, sorry I missed your call yesterday. I've tried calling the above number, still no success!
