  1. I'll hazard a guess that the batterey's flat. What makes you think that?
  2. That sums it up nicely, she even tried to justify the cost because a wagon and two operatives were involved in this major environmental clean up! I asked her if she would be happy to pay £800 of her own money to have that amount of rubbish taken away... she never answered.
  3. Well it should not be any more than £200 and that is alot, but i know you are going to say more than that eggs. You and I are in the wrong trade mate, or we've got the wrong contracts. I know it's on faceache but this woman is the chair of the PC. The locals are up in arms.
  4. Bang on, I've got a screenshot of the cost. Have a guess.
  5. This was posted by the chairwoman of the parish council today, she was ranting about fly tipping. Have a guess how much the BC pay to have this taken away by their contractors. according to the chairwoman what you see in the picture is the extent of the fly tip
  6. Strange how someone pictured him on a moving vehicle, although slowly, yet there's no pictures of the tree that's older than the queen mum being butchered.
  7. it certainly did, then things moved on, people (on the whole) don't hand over lumps of cash when they can get very low interest rates to finance stuff. The vast majority of car salesmen ain't selling the motor they are selling finance.
  8. Nor me, the true story probably reads, "Cad, James Hewitt lives in a very sort after location for SFA, and on sunny spring days he cuts the grass n stuff"
  9. It seems the same all over, I'm a member on a Motorhome forum where people are booking new vans to be delivered in 2023 because the base vehicles are in short supply. Not aimed at you Rich, never ever tell a dealer you have ready cash.
  10. I realise you are getting near the grave Bud, but you definitely ain't stupid. All those idiots going out buying these flash metal detectors for hundreds if not thousands of pounds and all that's needed is a telescopic magnetic stick...
  11. Things are going wrong mate, I've done 4 days this week on me Tod. I don't know which bit aches most.
  12. That depends what ya call flat out, if it's your or my kind of flat out we've probably done three full days or four steady days a week. Those who genuinely are flat out are out 5-6 days/week then in the shed/workshop until 10pm.
  13. It certainly ain't Suffolk, I feel light headed handing over a tenner for a fish n chips supper knowing I'm getting no change.
  14. Have another read of the thread title.
  15. The reason you've never heard or seen anyone using a wackier to level up blocks is because it's totally the wrong thing to do, what should be done is lift out the sunken blocks and top up with sand to get the blocks level again, not whacker the blocks that haven't sunk level with the ones that have.
  16. I don't know if you noticed, he said a few posts back he'd got a two man pressure washing job this Saturday, again, in the same sentence he is doing a roofing job on Saturday as well... No wonder he's knackered from all the work he's got on.
  17. What, the saw or talking about Triggs lunchbox?
  18. I wasn't really out of work, it just dropped right off in the first lockdown. Most of my own work is domestic, lots of people asked me to rearrange my servicing work until 'we' know what's going on. Most of my freelance work is on big retail parks and the like, with them all being closed due to Covid that slowed right down. I got through and ain't used my BBL. Things are on the up again, I'm refurbing a domestic pumping station ATM, and Bluewater shopping centre are getting ready to reopen.
  19. Good saving, I had it at over a grand here but not up at £1500. I'm no sparky and it's along time since I used to strip and rebuild pump motors, but... Iirc, if the motor has brushes it's a universal motor and will be fine on a UK transformer. My first thought was it might not run at full tilt or get hot but I think that is wrong, (see, there doesn't need anyone else involved to have a row😀). Speed isn't frequency related.
  20. Got ya, it would run on the American 120v mains domestic supply, or here through a transformer. Looks a lot of saw. I'm going to be rude, how much was it including import? Not that I want or need one I'm just nosey.
  21. Is it dual voltage or will it need a transformer?
  22. I think I know the nozzle you are talking about, the point speed 5? Which dealer did you get yours from?
  23. @Ratman Ratty, wasn't it the 2.2 engine 'they' recommended the EGR blanking plate with a hole in the middle as not to throw fault codes?
  24. No thanks, I've got popcorn. Thanks all the same.
