  1. Totally agree, did the rave scene and loved it, but the music, mostly was crap
  2. Music was key to our house when I grew up, the wireless/stereo was always on, not loud, just enough to be comfortable, both my brothers saw ELO, and Kate Bush, neither of them can tell me why I wasn’t taken! I know some will say the 60’s was the best time for music but the late 70’s early 80’s turned out some decent stuff.
  3. Not a joke but a true story, when I was a teenager I worked for a window cleaner, he made good money but was thicker than a brick, we were talking about the film, Rita, Sue and Bob too, when he pipes up, I’ve not seen that, I’ve only seen the first one!
  4. Some excellent songs/singers/ groups in there. Kate Bush, and ELO with Mr Blue Sky to name a couple. Never got to see either of those.
  5. Another classic if you are into your reggae.
  6. I remember this being blasted out of massive sound systems in Cobridge SOT when I was a teenager.
  7. I don’t tend to download music anymore, there’s no need, so many digital stations for that, I do always seem to fall back onto R4, or LBC for the news though.
  8. * way better!
  9. Never heard of it, I do like country music though, just doing a bit of reggae, although I’m a Marley fan I do think there’s what ay better/older reggae singers.
  10. Poorly edited when you were asked to talk about it.
  11. Name them off, although most think I was to young our eldest kid took me to see some big bands, let’s chat about mod bands of your day, music is one thing I can chat about with anyone.
  12. Who would you call the mod bands, the who, the faces? Let’s chat.
  13. Those who didn’t understand punk just won’t get it, I’ve been into The Jam today, excellent mod band.
  14. At £120/day cash I’ll come over and labour/hedge cut with you, I’m staying put until the beginning of next month though. If you don’t find anyone in the next few weeks ping me a message. I’ve also got spraying tickets if they are needed.
  15. Excellent punk song for it’s time. Don’t hit the link if you are easily offended.
  16. Had to laugh today, walked the dog then went to my mates for Sunday lunch, we phoned four people on loud speaker, all of them broke down! I’m going to one near me in the morning, my mate is going to another after work tomorrow, I’ve only just replaced the clutch in my van, it’s a good job there’s two sorts of luck or some of us wouldn’t have any at all.
  17. In one of the towns in Stoke there is a ‘hotel’ that was full of drug addicts mainly, a right rough place with people openly taking drugs around the place, on Thursday it was shut down with no notice putting 50 people on the streets of one town, how does that work, it’s gone into administration although SOT council have been paying them eye watering amounts of money to house these people, I can only imagine what the town looks like with an extra 50 people in shop doorways! Council steps up rough sleeper patrols after George Hotel closure - Stoke-on-Trent Live WWW.STOKESENTINEL.CO.UK The George Hotel has closed suddenly in Burslem
  18. Same fella kicked me about it last time, I guess what lifelong mates are about. He’s a good lad who talks sense. I’m lucky, he works for a very wealthy man who he’s been with for years so I’m pitched up on the owners land, I’m not going to do much apart from labourer for him for a few days, I’ll have someone I trust to bang it out with. It’s going this week.
  19. Don’t worry about banging on, I’m a master of it. I’ll sort it, it’s crippling at times, not washing, not speaking to anyone because I’ve no interest in what they have to say, I don’t like the person it makes me. Got the kicking I need off a mate this morning, be up, be washed and shaved, you are coming to walk the dog with me. Off we go as planned when he says, you want to get a grip ya prick! it raised a laugh that I needed. He never was one to mince his words.
  20. That’s the thing, tell your brain that you don’t need to worry about stuff, easier said than done!
  21. No, what does it do,
  22. That’s cheered me up no end.
  23. I’ve got a woman moving about with me, I’m not sure it helps!
  24. I’ve spoke about this before, I’ve suffered with this bastard for years, and it’s on me again, I can’t work it out, no proper reason to be down, but I am. I’m parked in one of nicest parts of the country, in my opinion, but it isn’t lifting me. It will pass, in time!
