  1. Some lads cant back a trailer etc also having a second tipper is just one wehicle rather then another vehicle and trailer, as in space taken up on road or site
  2. I must admit no, its just my logic and imagination Need to sit down and think. Either x2 3.5t vehicles or a 6-6.5 t or rb44 with hgv Im leaning towards x2 3.5t vehicles again
  3. Surely a side tip is a pita as pile needs shoving up all the time. Also you would need a removable side to tip chip out... pita!
  4. Secretarb, you say you monitored the beech for years, what made you decide to fell it? Crown condition? Sounding on the stem? Picus test? Cheers
  5. I'm getting towards this, I think the right thing would be to do my HGV licence then the trailer test again and my b1e doesn't cover HGV towing. Then a 6-6.5 t iveco etc Or to get another 3.5t tipper... Been thinking about it for a while
  6. Your old one was cheap! I must admit i was very tempted. Was a good package at a cracking price! Been looking at iveco crew cabs and all sorts really. Just cant believe how much they weigh. Sold my last one yet looking at another... i like them they just dont carry owt!
  7. Is that the old one with new back? Did you sell the other one
  8. Not really looked at the 036 etc but been looking at 260's etc and good condition ones are 240-270 To me i'd rather pay 240-270 for a better condition one rather than 180 for a crap one
  9. Is the little green light on the computer? if it isn't it isnt picking a speed reading up from the sensor on the flywheel. Also check and clean contacts on the solenoid where the little brass screw is
  10. You cant do anything other than show him her what to do / how to do it, supervise for 10-15 mins or however long you need. Reminders when they use a piece of equiptment. Then it just falls down to having employers liability insurance and making sure who ever works for you has common sense and ability to learn and get on with the job. Dont suffer fools
  11. You sorted a tractor now? Looks a different splitter to the billeting one?
  12. I was going to say you'll grow old waiting for a 2nd hand one! just go to timberwolf. I bought 2 new ones last year for mine
  13. Anyone help? Cheers
  14. Only half / quarter fill with fuel. Leave saw on the ground then try the fuel cap
  15. Since fitting a dual port muffler to the stihl 064 i have just checked the plug, it looks ok on one half and yellowy on the other side? Im sure it four strokes and then clears in the cut! Dont want to do any harm to this saw. What should i do? Try richen both H & L up a bit more?
  16. Only replaced the big ones huck, with same part code length etc. little one is old belt, was a bit slack before but nothing like this. Wonder if its stretched? Either way there should be some adjustment somewhere? Cheers
  17. Out grinding the other day and the two big belts from the engine gave way anyhow shot off and got some, fitted them then re fit the small hydraulic pump belt but theres way too much slack in it! Ramg vermeer who said the 4 bolts that hold it in place are elongated... No they arent Anyone know? To fit the other belts i undid the engine slides and pushed engine forwards a bit, put new belts on then used bolts to move engine back to tension belt (crap design imo! ) maybe ive got too much tension on main belts thus not much on small one? Pass! Anyone help? Cheers
  18. Not what i was expecting David, it came up with more root plate than i thought, i was thinking more of roots snapping nearer the base or maybe stem to go at base?
  19. How would they find out pinkfoot?
  20. And mine
  21. I worked a 261 for 2-3 years every day no problems. Sold as had too many saws and didnt use .325 anymore.... Sods law, ended up taking a mint 026 as part payment couple of weeks later
  22. I like the predator 28 but dont like that noisey lombardini engine if it still comes with that? Why has no one suggested the vermeer sc60tx? MONSTER MACHINE!
  23. 3 hours? I thought tank was only just smaller than the 150? My 150 will chip 6" for 6 hours or so on 2/3 a tank... if that maybe 1/2
  24. Think tr6 is 24 ish plus vat when i enquired
  25. Its calm up here. Years of fungus no reductions to remove weight off limbs, recent high winds will have contributed to this. As said here is a small strap at the back and some compression wood at the front. What really is the compression wood going to do? The small strap is onto a hollow part on the other stem. You've to be careful with this one
