    660 v 395XP

think the choice is made,,,, thanks for the tips fella's.. to summarise for future searchers, reasons for going for the 660 over the husky are 1. 660 is lighter 2 parts are cheaper than the husky 3. all my other saws are stihl, so i know my way round them,,, 4. reputation of the 660 is legendary 5. 395 has single sided attachment handle prone to snagging, 4. would love to wait for the 661 but it seems it may be a while off yet.. i do like huskys so much so i have a real one,, but am afraid my first husky saw will not be a 395 thanks again

    660 v 395XP

i know it's a 50/50 thing tcd, BUT,, what the heck,,i can't go anywhere as the road is closed because some daft bint tried to take the bend at 100mph and is as we speak being cut from her wreck of a car.. so while i summon up the warmth to go split wood I'm shopping,, andy, when is the 661 out?
  13. much better,,, and i havent got the flat nozzle on it yet either,, that should be good for another couple of MPH. TCD,, would be curious as to your thoughts on the thread 660 v 395

    660 v 395XP

Sooo,, which one? or an alternative? I've got some work coming up that needs me to have bigger than the 18" 362 that i've got. i'm guessing the 395xp is the husky = to the 660? discuss/ advice/ alternatives/ new models coming soon? cheers
  15. tommer did a video of this,, think even HE was impressed..
  16. D3 has fuel burning heater which does the trick, incidentally when i owned a few Sj's as a lad i used to put a small lantern under the bonnet, used to just keep it all from freezing.. webasto are great TCD,, we fit the timers to the FBH's on D3's
  17. one of the guys i know that uses them is a mechanic full time,, and runs an overland company,, if htey're good enough for him,, then they're good enough for the rest of us..
  18. i know about 2 dozen landy owners with them and they all rave about em,, really is the best option for a good socket/ ratchet set,..
  19. depends on how open minded you are,,, think a little more laterally and you might just come up with a good viable option...

    Feet warm?

1.right,, stuff heated socks,, you'll have to buy 5 pairs,, one for each day,, get heated foot beds instead.. HOTRONIC M3 Footwarmer Universal 2. for those with one cold foot,, how are the fit on your boots? every one tends to have one foot larger than the other, if the boot on your cold foot is snug then it "could" be the cause of the problem,, is it in all your shoes or just your work boots? 3. UGGS,,, were worn by men for decades before chicks got hold of them,, there is no shame at all in donning a pair,,, they rock..

    Feet warm?

not uncommon at all to have one cold foot, suggest good socks,, and warm your boots before you put them on,, use a hair dryer or keep em in the house by a heater.
  25. any chance of a picture of that?
