  2. good fences make good neighbours:thumbup:
  3. i don't think that all members of the public are fools when it comes to saws, in my experience some of them are better than "fully qualified arborists" also, about the PPE yeah its best to wear it, but the most important piece of PPE is definately a switched on brain
  4. looks good mate, a heck of alot better than the one i felled today
  5. felling cut is level or slightly lower than bottom of gob Never heard that felling cut should be lower than gob cut, whats the theory behind that?
  6. well we have a few new 200s in boxes but i thought it might be time to try something different, or i might scratch around the work shop and see if i cant find a decent 200 lurking in a dark corner

  9. sure this has been asked but does any1 know when the new husky is out, since my 200 is knackered and i really need to change
  10. luved the film mate, and i dont agree with alot of the things that have been said about it, yeah some of the cuts could have been better, and i probably would have taken it in slightly smaller sections, but i think that overall it was a good performance.
  11. i hate wet kit, i have developed coping strategies though, i have 2 pairs of saw trousers and if its wet ill wash them every night then leave them in front of the fire, i also put ropes and harnesses into the washing machine, only trouble is, since i live on site all our guys want me to wash there stuuf, at the mo i have 3 pairs of trousers, 3 ropes, and 1 harness in the utility room
  12. nice pics xerxes, looks like a fun job. how come you didn't fell it in one, looked like there migh be enough room in the first pic?
  13. naughty nathan! Dee, as you probably know the Bible is made up of old and new testaments. The old testament is man under law, that is God had to judge man for his sin and this judgment was implemented by the law which he gave to Moses, this law included stoning, hanging, etc... The new testament (which broardly is more relavent) to man today is man under grace, that is that (if we trust in Jesus) God doesnt have to judge us anymore because he judged his son in our place. This is what the Bible says: It is impossible to do what God's standards demand because of the weakness our human nature has. But God sent his Son to have a human nature as sinners have and to pay for sin. (Romans 8:3)
  14. nah thats not our steve m8, that guy is too good looking:lol:
  15. good post, we hav done loads of straight fells where others would dismantle, saves sso much time, even if you do have to rebuild the customers house

  17. Amen, brother. Have a look at this verse below. ....in the cutting of wood there is danger. (Ecclesiastes chapter 10 verse 9)
  18. sure is mate, its just a matter of not getting stuck inside a best practice leaflet, and thinking outside the box. Thats why im grateful that i learned from those older and wiser than myself who had years of experience at making things as easy as possible.
  19. brilliant dear brother, i'd forgotten that one
  20. Oh, we decided to hire in the Mattypicker for this one:lol: nah we did have one on site but it was massive and would be no good for getting into the canopy of that tree.
