  1. gotta luv big sectional dismantles:thumbup: :biggrin:we have a saying at work "go big or go home"
  2. don't get me wrong, its an amazin climb, but what im saying is that it isnt real life, i mean hes probably been round that tree 100 times before and has chosen a tree that lends itself to what he wants to do, the commercial climber, who is trying to make money out of the job, does not havve this luxary
  3. interesting thread and some great vids, i hav a sj2 which i hav used on 1 crab, not sure if this is best way though??? to be honest thou it has been sat on my desk for 6 months and i hav gone bak to split tail as i found sj2 hard to control, any advice?? also, this vid is not really a good represantation of commercial climbing, i mean the tree is massive with nice spready branches and high anchor point, im not sure if sj2 is actually anygood for the challenges of the more tricky climbs we come across in real life????
  4. that's just annoyed me:sneaky2: 100 tools:lol:
  5. alright, i'm gonna have a cooling off period, and possibly back for a second wind:thumbup:
  6. i'm getting that way too, when does this finish????
  7. we have 2 27m tracked, a 27m lorry mount, and three smaller machines, love them to bits:001_smile: in most cases i think they are quicker, safer, and can achieve a better finish than even a very efficient climber, Don't mean to argue, just my own humble opinion:thumbup:
  8. ill be gutted if there is somthing amazing in that box, however i did help the cause by running it up:thumbup:
  9. Hi are you a ***** ? All arboriculturalists know that the tree will not survive. The tree has been grown with no preparation for lifting or transplanting. Normal preparation for this type of semi mature tree moving takes a few years, producing a fine fibrous root system. You cant just take a tree, chuck a few packets of muck and magic on it an expect it to survive. Any idea of what % of fibrous roots you kept intact ? Never heard of anyone using a landrover to dig out a tree, we normally use a spade where I live.
  10. where hav all the tree geeks on here gone? somebody must be able to tell him when its gonna die..............
  11. anyway how can you dig out a tree with a landrover????????????
  12. tried that with a beech awile ago and it died
  13. keep it simple bruv you dont need half of honey brothers hanging off your harness
  14. I'm still struggling to see how this 100% disproves God, because what you have said (man made God) is not fact, it is opinion, How can i say it is opinion? Because it cannot be 100% proved. Just as you cannot 100% dissprove that "God made man"
