  1. 1st outing with my new 230, with the best possible job to try it on. Topped conifer in the pissing down rain. It absolutely smashed it!!! I do still love my 150, which is sadly for sale now as I can't afford to run 2x chippers. Late 2011 with 460hrs on clock and I've only just changed the bearings and feed roller blades. Nothing wrong with the chipper, just a upgrade Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. I finally picked up my new 230 yesterday and I must say I'm really excited about work on Monday to test out the new beast. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. 1 year is really hard, 2nd a little easier, 3rd you just start ticking over really, and progression from there. My advice would be don't turn away any work, price anything and then figure it out afterwards. Don't hang around saving up for a chipper, bang one on finance. I bought a brand new timberwolf 125 that cost me £185 pm. That's 2 days hiring a chipper! You get all the reliability of a new machine when your struggling at the beginning. It's a great way to build up your kit and tax efficient too. You also look a lot more professional turning up with the right kit. Make sure you've got a least 3 saws, blower, sthil combi long reach trimmer, pole pruner, Strimmer etc, clearing kit and a good set of ladders. Your ready to roll. Not forgetting your climbing and rigging kit. Don't go alone until you can manage that setup is my advice. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Neighbour comes out "your more than welcome to come in my garden and trim my side if you want" Hmmm no thanks !! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. Mines just a upgrade, nothing wrong with it Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Because some people don't need big chippers and it's allot easier on your smaller trucks. Where I live in Brixham we're always having to negotiate our chipper by hand to get in those tight access jobs Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Mines gonna be up for grabs in 2 weeks weeks or so when my new machine arrives. Late 2011 450hrs Message me if interested Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. If it's doing 80% of your work, then it's your main machine wouldn't you say Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. My old 125 had this problem and I just had to adjust the sensor on the fly wheel Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. I started with a 341 and is still going 10 years on with only minor repairs. Getting pretty tired now though. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Sad, sad news, can't see how you'd go head first whilst standing on it myself. Unless he front flip onto the brash pile whilst it was feeding in. He had to be feeding it and got caught. Gotta say if I where going through, that's the way. RIP thoughts go out to family and friends. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. It's easy really- 1 Don't do it if your unhappy 2 Buy a small rigging kit. (Every climber needs one) 3 sub yourself with a fully qualified ground operative, if he doesn't supply one. Ps- there are 3 sides to every story. Yours side, his side and the truth! The majority of the comments are your truth Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Possibly the worst car ever built Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. I don't like the button on the forst, it needs separate buttons for forward and reverse, nothing more annoying when you've got something stuck and u just want to reverse it Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. Hello josh Yes my chipper is still available, Can you ring me or text on 07894855939 as I don't use this site much Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk

  17. sorry forgot to quote. it took 3 office boys to move it on flat ground
  18. We'll I've gotta say I'm a proud timberwolf 150 owner, the machine has done me proud. I change the bearings every 6months to keep them fresh and it takes me about 3hrs so no hardship really. Really looking forward to seeing the new chipper. I must say that timberwolf have been amazing when it comes to help and advice whilst servicing or working on my chipper. Keep up the good work guys and I'll be seeing you at the apf
  19. I do really want to demo the little one though that looks more designed for green waste The sx200 if anyone's used one
  20. I owned one for a very short time alongside my chipper. green waste it just got clogged up, never felt like it had enough air pressure in the shoot to cope with it. If you fed it through really slow and minimal amounts it was ok, but hedge cuttings still looked like hedge cuttings. Branches again just chocked it up. Logs where ok but slow. I did also throw some pretty hefty wood waste through it with all sorts of fixtures and fittings on which it totally destroyed!!! Doesn't fire very far out of the discharge shoot either
  21. You don't need a tachometer for 3.5t and if the truck allows you can tow a additional 3.5t. Check your trucks spec. My td5 has a total train weight of 7t. Young drivers trailer rules, if your truck gvw is 3.5t you can tow a additional 750kg if your truck is say 2t gvw then you can tow a trailer with gvw of 1.5t (3.5t gvw combined) Nissan cabstar tipper all the way, approx year 1997 slow but bomb proof, best tuck I owned. Plenty of load space and gets in narrow drives. It will get stuck on a wet road though.
  22. Guys your gonna love the 2550, what a grinder!! I demoed the 2250 and a the 2550 on the same day, hoping that I'd want the smaller of the 2 due to the price difference. The 2250 was a nice little grinder but there's just no comparison between that and the 2550. There is absolutely no power loss compaired to the belt drives, productivity is great, and so stable not having the engine on the cutter head
  23. Haha yeah was a bit of a beast that one, hey dean. Really pleased with the demo and now I can't wait for the arrival of mine. I must say the worst stump I've ever had to grind. That's where you want the hurricane!!!!
