  1. Check out avant loaders Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. I had my 125 for 6 years and it was a superb chipper, moved on to the 150 which was fantastic and now on the 230 which I must say is awesome!!!! Never tried green so can't comment, but they look good Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Mine shredded through belts, but it was a old grinder, I think it was 30hp My new 2550 is 44hp turbo diesel with hydraulic cutter. A far superior grinder!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. Hello mate My 2550 is coming up forsale unfortunately. I'm having to buy a narrower tracked grinder for a large Clearence job. Mine is just over a year old with 85hrs on the clock. It's basically brand new. They are £29k new and I'm after £26k 44hp radio remote. I love it and don't really want to sell it. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. I had the 2150 and I thought it was great, it got me into the grinding game. Had many problems with belts and bearings though. So I bit the bullet and purchased new the 2550xp and I love it!!! With it being hydraulic the engines mounted at the rear of the grinder and not on the cutter head, so it's more stable and doesn't appear to loose power through the hydraulics Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Contact dean at global recycling and just buy a hb20, once you've got a grinder you can hard sell it and get more work with it. He'll come down with a machine so you can demo it on those stumps and then don't let him take it home. You'll have £300 on the job, won't pay for the hire and you'll have a brand new toy Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. Haha brilliant, sold ordering one as we speak Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. Love the winch on the blade, I've been thinking about that. Have you got it on a remote and what will it pull? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  9. Not sure if I should, but it seemed ok. It was bloody steep though!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Did that stump in 5hrs 30 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Grinding down a 45 degree bank on a winch, not advisable but we did it. I was to scared to take the pics on the downward journey, so here's a couple of it on it's way back up. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. Big old beech stump, really testing the 4x4 Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Totally agree with this statement, but I have a set price for my regulars (other tree guys) £250 half day and £400 full day leaving mulch onsite Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. Hi we are based in Brixham, Devon. Right by the sea!! I am after a fully qualified climber, who is more than competent at rigging. We have flying capstans, bollard, and a GRCS WINCH. In the summer months I don't drop hours or days we put are shorts on and get hedge trimming. We don't do lawns and general gardening. My climber is now moving away so I am looking for someone to fill his boots. We run the new timberwolf 230, tipper landy, ldv tipper, we have 3 different stump grinders, we are really well kitted out!!! youll need your own fully lolered climbing kit. Preferably I would like you to have your rigging ticket and also your trailer licence. If not im sure we can work it out. call Greg 07894855939
  15. What I would really like for those horrible stumps that grow around old stone walls etc is a hydraulic breaker Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. I have that very same grinder bought from dean, and it was a struggle to spend that money!! But I must say it has been awesome!! Can't beat hydraulic, I would never have belts again. Has anyone put a pto on there 2550's dean and how'd you get on enquiring about a mulcher head? Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. I would go with your gut instinct, none of us have been there and we all know how deceiving a picture can be at times. Don't do it cheap, you know your setup and where you can of load chip etc. if your unsure put another £200 on it and if you get it bonus. I walked away from many jobs I didn't think I'd get, and they ring you back with the go ahead. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. I'm exactly the same, I send my lads out doing the tree work and what ever I bring in is a bonus. I wouldn't say I could make a living off it but it pays for it's self. I bought 2 brand new bandit grinders last year and I've got a little 13hp husqy too. I can buy jobs with it though, especially having a range of grinders to suit pretty much every stump. Not many around me offer grinding and on every quote I do I sell my grinding service with it. It does by jobs. Sometimes i loose a little on the grinding to secure a good tree job. 19. Yeah that's a awesome price if it all works. You would get that for the grab alone Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. This is the same as the toro grinder and I thought it was rubbish!!! I demoed it on a job with about 40 stumps and I found it more productive with my smaller pedestrian grinder Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. Contact timberwolf and they'll tell you exactly. Good little chipper, I had mine for 5 years Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. My mate Js access in Torquay will sort you out with a small trailer mount 07779 155479 Or if a bigger lift is needed I use knowle trees in ipplepen, they hire with operator Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. I agree, a demo is a great way of spreading the word, but do it on one of your own stumps and let them come to you!! I've done a couple and then you don't here from them again. I did one for one of my local councils, they then promised me all there work. I just had to send in my H&S then nothing heard again and it's been a year. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. I've got a bandit 2550 and a bandit hb20 narrow. I must say I love them both and I would greatly consider one or both. I did demo there bandit 2250 which I wasn't so impressed with, that's there smallest 4 wheel machine with the same engine as the hb20, but productivity is deffo better from the hb20, just a big more work required from yourself whilst grinding.
