  1. As above don't do that jammy. I've seen a few of jammys post come across. The wrong way to people and from talking to him myself I find him a good lad who's given me some kind words and advice regarding my boys. I can sympathize with what he is saying it may come across as selfish but I don't spend too much of my time watching and reading about stuff what upsets me and I can do nothing about I just like to go about my own life and make the best of what I have.
  2. Respect AA there is plenty of lazy young uns about that should take a leaf out of your book:thumbup:
  3. That's what I'm talking about:thumbup:
  4. Big respect to you mate:thumbup:

  6. I'm gonna have a look into it my mates father has had them years wonder if a reference from him might help? I'd have a couple shotguns but would much prefer a couple of rifles.
  7. Just noticed peoples comments at the bottom below the article:lol:
  8. I did see it a few year ago though mate I wonder if sycamore start early?
  9. It done the job for us as youngens, I remember my father only letting me take about 5 pellets and saying that I would make sure I had a proper shot and not waste shots haha Ive been thinking of trying to get a gun license soon before I gets harder because I know I'll get back into shooting when I'm older.
  10. Here's our little pellet gun Not sure how old it is look like an antique all I know is its a sheridan. We had this as kids and I got into running dogs so never progressed to the big boys guns on here.
  11. aye but its a different world down there mate, my mate is working down there and always winding me up about the nice weather:sneaky2:
  12. I would of thought that's got to be early. I do remember doing a sycamore years ago, that was early January and the sap was turning into icicles as it was pouring out, that was a cold day haha
  13. We carried out some pruning works on some sycamore trees today and the sap was pouring from the cuts, is it early for this too?
  14. Haha I hope you filled in the risk assessment before you carried out the shaving Dean.
  15. I've found that most the lads I've met who have cut/hurt themselves it's been on a small tree, probably from being complacent.
  16. My brother had a young lad working with him once who thought he would karate chop the chain brake on:confused1: he missed and cut his hand open! These are the type of people who should not be using saws one handed
  17. As weird as it sounds mate that's what got mr into huskys it's the ding ding ding ding de de ding ding
  18. Are we just talking bullet guns as I've only owned air rifles I don't want to look like too much of a bummer haha we ha a theoben rapid 7 a bit ago we got bored because it was so accurate we started just shooting rabbits ears then I remember going out wi the dog and the rabbit had a hole in it's ear haha me father does have an air rifle though has a brass barrel ( or looks like brass) and the pins holding the stock on are melted lead and it's a .20 if I get some pics you lads might know what it is or and by the way it's pump action
  19. He sounds like trouble to himself as in you worked it out before he cut himself, nothing wrong with using a saw one handed if you are competant if you were up my way might be able to find you something but wish you the best anyway mate
  20. Dont get the thread but I have a 3120 and it's minnt like the mans name above haha
  21. I've only owned air rifles then got into lurchers so stopped using guns but used to do a lot of fixing with my mates dad who is ex special forces he's uses a .243 what a gun that is mate I envy you. He set up a fridge door with a tiny square drawn on it one day when setting up his sights and gave me a go, I can't remember the distance but it was a long distance first shot I missed by about 6 inches and the next missed by millimetrers I'm not a good shot just the gun was awesome wouldn't like to see it in the wrong hands
  22. That's the time your most likely to cut yourself mate I always have two hands on the saw in a hedge when putting the bar into multiple stems you are very high risk of kick back
  23. I done a job last year a days work removing a small hedge took most the day I charged 550 I found out at the end of the job the bloke I was pricing against put 3500 and I thought I'd put a bit much on. I reckon with the lack of work people are trying different angles with pricing to see what works just make sure you don't lose out Mark.
  24. You may be pricing against people charging 800 a day mate and because your so cheap they think your a cowboy. We haven't had a private job in two month so at least your is ringing for them:thumbup:
