  1. Sorry, but what? I’m not really sure I understand what any of that means.
  2. I think you will find ‘a bit diy’ equates to a corduroy motorcycle suit. Just ear muffs could be considered the sign of a pro in this parish.
  3. I read this as ‘to come to terms with’ (as in you ‘get over’ being made redundant, or you ‘get over’ being cheated on by a so called lover), rather than to make the problem magically not exist any more. Generally, you ‘get over’ something once it just doesn’t seem like as big a deal as your other problems. I can’t think of the last time I lay awake at night, trying to come to terms with all the money I have spent on Aspen.
  4. Man, check out those teeth! They are going to be perfect for Halloween. 🎃
  5. AHPP 1. When was the last time you paid a subscription to the Arb Association? Don't post anything else. 1. When was the last time you paid a subscription to the Arb Association?
  6. Sorry. Missed you point completely. It certainly won’t be the last time. Interestingly, the mighty Chinese reverse engineering machine has become aware of manufacturing parts for obsolete saws. They are normally not expensive, and delivery can be peanuts. Never really sure of the quality though. Sometimes it’s amazing, sometimes it’s… er … astonishing. I find it’s best to order far more units than you need, and do the QC yourself so you can select the bits to use, and the bits to reject!
  7. Well yes. But if you want to limit yourself to boring new of the shelf bits, you can do what everyone else does and just buy a new of the shelf saw. Not exactly that much of a hobby is it. I have plenty of ‘current’ says, but spending money on repairing them is just part of the job, it’s rarely fun. Getting something like a Homelite VI super-mini SL back from the dead and giving it a jolly good thrashing is much better!
  8. Finding the parts is the fun bit… although it gets easier if you not averse to looking ‘stateside’. Search: 80 results found for "Double+eagle+" | Chainsawr STORE.CHAINSAWR.COM Chainsawr, The World’s Largest Inventory of Chainsaw Parts I know from experience though, that paying the shipping requires a significant level of enthusiasm though!
  9. I’d be happy with that. It’s possibly 0.2 more of an answer that the question deserved.
  10. I think you keyboard is sticking. You have asked that question about 4 times now.
  11. I don’t, as my family are kind enough to throw them all open for me.
  12. Tbh, sounds like an absolutely cracking day to me.
  13. Fire every night. Entire house is nice and toasty.
  14. Good file, practice… and these days, a decent pair of glasses.
  15. Easy to find fault, Stere… have you ever taken a TERNATA similar job?
  16. Ideal for weeding, as even a basic motorbike comes with two sets of forks.
  17. Not sure I could get away with walking around in a helmet with ‘zero’ printed on the front. Nearly as bad a cap from Gap.
  18. Must admit, I thought the same!
  19. I would go for option 2… it’s certainly the most conventional, but personally I would remove all of the tiled fire surround, brick up the gaping hole that you expose, and install a suitably sized hearth for your stove to sit on. Personally, I would doubt you would have much luck getting an installer to get it done any time soon, as you have the usual ‘want to have it in before Christmas’ brigade to contend with (as you do every year) combined with the current increase in installs due to the increase in cost of living / heating, and the concerns surrounding power outages this winter. Maybe stove installers will step up their efforts and there will be availability early in 2023 if you are very lucky (or rich)… but maybe not, and you won’t get an installer till spring/summer 2023. If you are capable of such things, you (or a general builder) should be able install it yourself perfectly legally yourself if you go down the ‘build control’ route follow Document J…. Approved Document J - Part J - Combustion appliances and fuel storage systems - Planning Portal WWW.PLANNINGPORTAL.CO.UK Details of Part J (Approved Document J) of the Building Regulations However, even this will take time, as the building control process goes at its own pace, and won’t be rushed. Best of luck!
  20. I expect we will see more and more of this in the future. Although you assume you have a petrol saw, it is clearly identifying as a diesel. Possibly a Lister AC1. The CST will hopefully reveal your saws pronouns.
  21. I wouldn’t worry. It’s become so widespread that even the dictionaries have adopted it. Kids these days!
  22. Regardless… I’d hope he wouldn’t have used the word ‘electrocuted’ in such a slapdash manner.
  23. Oh crap. Now I wish I hadn’t just ordered those 3 Antminers
  24. I probably shouldn’t admit it, but I’m not concerned regarding corded or cordless in the least. Should I be?
