  1. Strewth!! Imagine turning up on a job in that, if you made it there of course.
  2. Permanent position for climber, must be experienced for a minimum of two years and have chainsaw and climbing tickets. Other relevant tickets and advantage. Driving licence desirable. Please PM me with your CV or relevant experience. Regular pay (PAYE) and 28 days holiday.
  3. Always fill the filter cartridge with diesel to the top before fitting.
  4. After you drained the tank it, did you repace the fuel or just filter it? The reason for my question is, that if there is a small amount of petrol in with the red diesel it will missfire and run like a bag of nails. You only need a small amount of petrol to contaminate diesel. As already said, change both the fuel filters and also blow out the air filter. I take it the blades are razor sharp?
  5. Arb books can be pricey but one not to be without, as already said 'Diagnosis of Ill Health in Trees'.
  6. It stands for many errors when phelling.
  7. I just wondered what the safe working load of you mewp is? (swl)
  8. I bought a LDV tipper once, never again. New head, gearbox (reverse went) many, many problems. Cabstar or Canter is the way to go. My advice for what it's worth, put your money down as a deposit and get a decent truck on the knock. ( I once had 3 ton on a cabstar and it drove) (off road only of course)!!!
  9. Try this linkhttp://www.hse.gov.uk/agriculture/pdf/arbnews0107.pdf This is what can happen. You might need to copy and paste it.
  10. Well said, typically a guy or gal straight from a pass on level 3 arb with lots of tickets cannot even sharpen a saw or fill it up to my satisfaction. More worryingly cannot tell you what, or how to prevent kickback. There is too much tea drinking and chat on these dummy courses.
  11. Easy; Google, how do I attach a link? and it will tell you how. Have a go a couple of times and you will get it.
  12. Over the counter; try the old favourite SBK, it works too!
  13. You used to be able to hear one several villages away, it would give you arms like Arnie, and if you smoked you would'nt need to light up for a week!
  14. Just put new roller bodies on a timberwolf (the bits that look like revolving blades) it's made an very old machine like new. Grabs it a treat. Do what the other guys said first, then only change the roller bodies if worn; they wear through the middle and will not grip anything under 15mm. This happens around 2000hrs. Change the springs if weak.
  15. Some of my guys flask coffee seems to work, you will need full biological charcoal lined suit, couple of drops on the centre of the stump works, no need to cut around the cambium!
  16. Iv'e just spotted the perfect saw on ebay; Danarm Vintage Chainsaw on eBay (end time 14-Oct-10 20:09:03 BST)
  17. If you have an email or fax confirming you are clear to go that's all you need. Thats one sheet of paper. If the TPO is put in the tree, don't look up.
  18. I would guess a car cover would be best, but I am quite worried about the security of your machine too, if it's outside. Anyhow these letres, are they french by any chance?
  19. Yeah, I ordered some about a year ago, then the company (A well known large co.)( no names though) started ringing me up every day, pestering me for more orders, they must have dozens of sales staff, because it was someone different each time. I said I had stopped trading in the end to stop the calls!
