  1. ive had 7 hi luxs mk3/4 and 5s change your oil and filters every 5000 miles and theres no reason why you cant get 3-400,000 relatively trouble free motoring out of them. Not the most comfortable to drive, you can be guaranteed it will start in the morning and get you to work.
  2. I feel a bit p,off helping the police to tell the truth, the reason I bought the saw was because my sheds got done over a few months before buying it. Around £5gs of saws/h/cutters/blower etc and all the police could do was say to me over the phone "well , theres not a lot we can do". Anyway if after further investigation this letter is cosher I will supply them with all details and hopefully could stop some elses gear being nicked.
  3. Only got it yesterday, thought I,d see if any of you blokes have had anything the same.
  4. Page 2, and yes steve I did purchase it, its just about the only tool ive bought second hand without "pay on collection"
  5. Anyone else received a letter like this?
  6. at last , I totally agree with skyhuck:thumbup1:
  7. Now! you just wouldn't, would you.
  8. As with the 020/ms200 etc they get stupid money for a saw you don't know the history of, most top handles are bought by pukker tree surgeons and are totally knackered after a couple of years.
  9. But would you drive your rolls over a ploughed field, ive got a few rolls (stihls) , but I'm after a cheap crap saw for cutting fence post with nails in , and burying it in the ground cutting roots.
  10. Good point, they can be bought for 60-£70 on ebay, just wondered if anyone on here has bought one.
  11. Looking to buy a cheapo top handle saw, no doubt it will be chineese, I currently use my ms200 for fencing work and I feel I'm destroying a good expensive saw. The cheapo saw will be used only for cutting posts , tree roots etc. Any recommendations? I don't really want to spend much more that £100 , so it really will be the bottom end of the market . Ive only ever bought stihl and I'm not expecting the build quality to be anywhere near them.
  12. Blimey, its hot enough doing tree work in this weather , let alone running around someones garden sword fighting as well.
  13. Like any business , quick turnover, small profit with plenty of sales:thumbdown:

  23. Frozen being more solid than fresh, id say yes it would be a clean cut, book a couple of days off work after eating it though. Let us know how you get on as I'm sure theres quite a few on here who are also thinking of cutting their sunday joint in half with a saw bench, good luck mate.
