If Lucas dont stop smoking he will be living under it!

decking

It probably wouldn't hurt to do so, all the posts are in 2' and concreted in, corners and centre posts run through to the handrail, 3of us bouncing allover it and it didn't move.

decking

Client decided he wanted it left open, was going to clad it and use as storage but due to the number of posts changed his mind, there's 2 ton of gravel going under it to finish it off.

6.
Not yet didn't have chance today.

7. Agreed, I have recently been through this with our friendly planning department
8. I am looking for a suitably qualified consultant to undertake tree surveys on my behalf. Most are in & around west Yorkshire.
9. I have being looking for 3 years now, most stuff has planning or outline and goes for crazy money, plenty for sale around here if you want to buy a piece of somebodys garden to build on!
10. I have a 2009 tw 190 & a 1 year old tr6, 2 different machines for different applications. I prefer the 190! Seems less to go wrong electronically, will happily keep 2 lads busy with no drama. Cant think of any bad points. Ah changing the blades on the indeed rollers is a frigging nightmare! Changed once in 3 years and will prob last another 3 years.
11. Where did they come from? Tie strap isn't even pushed onto drive link
12. I agree, I quoted to clearfell 30 medium sized trees and a ton of brush cutting yesterday, they want me to start in 10 days! Lead time is 4 weeks!!!
13. I take my hat off to you sir...
14. I know what you mean and i feel the same. In the time ive been doing the job theres only been one lad out there whom i would fully employ A lot of that is probably having high expectations, everyone's different some are plonkers, some do nowt but expect everything others get their head down and push on.
15. Its like everything else having the balls to take the next step, i have loads of good ideas but end up too busy stuck in a rut to do anything, and the cycle goes on
16. Ive got 5 weeks work of work from 1 contractor on various sites and an approximate start date for them, unless i can clear some work i wont be able to commit to it and inevitably end up loosing it to another firm. I have dropped on 2 decent lads atm who will graft, i just dont wanna stagnate and end up in the same place i am in 10 15 20 years time.
17. I don't drink or smoke, been on holiday once since starting the business while my friends are going out larking around ive been working 7 days so its hard earned.
18. I already have 2 vans 2 chippers 2 trailers 2 stump grinders a tractor a loader and no money Its not machinery i need its man power
19. Website by a mile, cost me £1500 to design, £90 a year hosting and that's it! after 6 years it is in the process of being updated, but has brought in tons of work for us.
20. lol 2 men doing a 4 man job in a day! & jacking beech trees over with the head torch ah what more could you want.
21. I only know contract climbers who if i am being honest at 120 - 150 a day are too dear to be dragging brash. last time i had a subbie groundie in he didn't want to do too much ground work! a lot of site clearance jobs get sprung on us so having somebody i know will be there when i need them is useful. Most subbies work from their diary which is fair, i wouldn't expect somebody to sack other jobs off for mine.
22. Due to the increased workload i could do with a third lad to keep stuff running smoothly, i have managed to get another pair of hands lately a couple of days a week and we fly through jobs. My only concern is 3 men doing small domestic jobs is a bit pointless and a cash burner! we do anything from pruning a manky fruit tree to felling & clearing construction sites, so the times when i need a 3rd man vary! as of now i have roughly 4 weeks of work for a 3 man team. At what point did you decide to employ others? the way i see it i can either stay as i am keep ticking over and loose a load of site work or invest in another pair of hands and push for more lucrative jobs
23. Seems some recommend no loader others are not so concerned, whats it like on site? is it maneuverable? do they have a forward reverse shuttle? hydrostatic? or have a clutch?
