  1. yes james and they hold there price second hand too,,if and when they come up....
  2. birch,is quite common ,to find and too work, cherry is popular, but theres not a particular choice,just whats really available,,,being a hedgelayer,why not use some hawthorn?
  3. I`d want to see them running,,,and working under stress, Ie milling!!
  4. yep great bits of kit for repetative 6x2 etc,,,,very accurate,,,and fast once set up,,,
  5. Ive looked into costing a kindlett, but the time you take into account, getting the right wood,time splitting it, bags etc,,,I cant beat the £1.60 per bag gensteve on here sells it for!!!I just buy in bulk and store it,,,,,,,,

  8. and yes too longer,,if you get any "longer " lengths of interesting timbers,,I`m always up for buying it,,,

  10. top tip!!! leave things about four to five feet long for milling,,as the clamps on the mill wont hold less,,(yes I can screw it too a bit of timber longer,,but not ideal) you`ll sell more timber the longer you leave it,,
