hi mate nice meeting you and thanks for coming to say hi, well the van pulled along nicely behind the transit and was happy sitting at sixty(on motorway), we parked her next to the stall and she drew lots of admirers, photo`s galore, more importantly ,she was warm and snug, and didnt leak as it rained heavily on saturday, had two offers for her, but going to hang onto her for the summer:001_smile:

hi mate yep chippenham it is!!weather doesnt look too promising, I can move it around myself in my yard and defo doesnt weigh as much as the chipper, 750kg() of course!!.

well a final rush to get it finnished, 6.30am start, did the floor first, then fitted some coat hooks,fire extinguisher ,and phil put last two cupboards in, took off the oak seats,sanded them and oiled them, popped to halfords got a tailboard, then bingo,just the door to fit in the morning,,, spent last 6 hours making a story telling bench for the this weekends show,,,

P.s ,,it made it through todays downpour just fine,,,

some more of inside, and a re- to match the height of the transit, to allow for the weight when loaded with stock! the little cupboards where made up of left over timber, and some solid oak flooring needing finnished today. jobs left too do, finnish floor finnish top surfaces, fit woodburner, make foldable porch to incorparate lights number plate etc, fit fire extinguisher, coat hooks, and stock up on beer:thumbup1:

next stage, final blue coat going on, started the interior, bench seating, and corrugated roof sheets fitted.

a nice stable door fitted by my mate phil, (had to do tree work:thumbdown:) then first coat of primer,,thick as glue this stuff,,, followed by marine ply roof coated with sadolin,

hi mate, (just me) thanks for input, i might just do that next time, but I sealed the whole thing, in an aliminuium expanding paint thats used on boats,with two coats,then a primer then two coats of weathershield, and now fitting the interior, this baby aint going no-where! to be fair I do six shows and it`ll be used for them, the rest of the time she`ll be parked in my yard under cover , I had her out in a downpour yesterday and she aint leaked yet?.

ok so next stage, fit second hand window,having adjusted the original window opening,then build up the side, decided to make an elm porch of sort to add some charachter to the front, then worked out the arch.

as long as the trailer is below 750kg then should be ok,,,will be running it past the legal boys just for peace of mind,next time i will go for double axle and braked,

so heres next steps, adding the wall struts, and tongue and groove to create some walls, my original window design changed as found a great second hand window fro a car boot sale for £5...it just had to be used....

Having thought about this project for a few yrs,I wanted to create something between a sheperds hut and a caravan,something I can carry stock to shows,whilst looking part of the stall.something I can sleep in, and not look out of place on my pitch. due to the limit on the amount of pics allowed, i`ll try and put up pics daily over my progress. 1/ weld up a base, 2/buy a trailer kit from ebay 3 create a overlap over wheels to get full 6ft sleeping width 4/lay in spare insulation I had free 5?make some little brackets from hardwood.

its fine but heavy, I now use the jcb to move it from shed to logs, mines got the small wheels.
