  5. tractor doesnt look like it will lift that 1st log over trailer side, did you have to re-set the slings or did it swing into bull(log)bar?
  6. graphite grease? must have been previous person who greased it as i'm on regular grease, only bought machine from orange plant (york) in december 2009, looks like i'll be removing all that grease now and set to worry about the damage already caused by graphite grease then..

  13. sounds like a job we did recently, supposed to be 4small trees, turned out to be 4 medium trees covered in ivy, took 5 of us all day till after 5pm..what a joke

  15. just over the border in scotland, an old quarry im clearing for my dad. the swamp isnt that deep as it was part of last years landy bash, once the trees are cleared it will be drained and used as a quarry again, don't worry theres plenty more trees left up there:thumbup:
  16. noticed the bottom feedroller was way over to the left and starting to gouge a circle in the housing, pulled a couple of bits off the machine to investigate and found some polyprop rope/string round the rollershaft on rhs, removed it and refitted but the rollers were central until i greased the nipples then they jammed hard against the left hand side, levered them back a bit but they seem biased to the left now, ran machine to make sure its ready for tomorrow but they still seem to sit to the left a bit much, will it be ok to use? oh the rope must have been in the last load of branches last week or we would have noticed it sooner.. thanks Ed.
  17. the foden was once a tractor unit, till my dad decided to shove a bogey under the rear, lengthen the chassis and pop a crane on, worked a treat for pulling logs out of the quarry:thumbup:
  18. managed to tow old foden wagon out of the mud (its 3rd axle drive wasn't engaging) no probs, then had to bumpstart the tractor...all on road tyres(uphill) oh sorted some slightly worn bfg muds to put on soon..can't wait
  19. mi lil sis Liam.. drunk me under the table on saturday as expected, and can drive a fordson major too..
  20. played with some of my dads toys on saturday..

  22. loads of fun at Ae4x4 landytrial, wasnt driving today but thoroughly enjoyed it..

  24. went from school to work in a garage, been told about all the practical jokes etc so when i was told to fetch 'long stand' i went to shop for 1/2hour, came back to find they were well mad, apparently they had a 6ft axlestand for removing wheels while on 4poster ramp..doh
