  1. what are you wanting to carry? firewood? if theres a chance you will need to carry more at a later date then maybe think about a 110,
  2. nice, think i'd have parked the landy further away but its defo a stuntfell.
  3. there was more than one lump of rock in there too..not small bits either,
  4. good job you strapped the beast up, or it could have ended up like this.. never saw it coming - just split on impact..
  5. tell him not to have fires next to trees that he likes.. fire cooks the living tissue under the bark leaving it open to decay, the tree has tried to compartmentalise the rot and is trying to heal over the wound..
  6. what was you nailing to superbikes? tyres on the opposition?
  7. ive never fancied a tranny really.. more of a landy fan myself
  8. nice job.. trailering laurel away instead of chipping saves you breathing in the bad stuff, is that a tippy trailer? bet its well useful.
  9. did this little hedge a few weeks ago, lots of chip, used ladder in places to get a foothold between trees, took 2days..
  10. we usually use some sturdy aluminium ones with a 3m high platform, or lean extension ladders against hedge, strop in and lean back.. loads of fun
  11. have a look at the back of the transfer box on any landy, if its got a circular blanking plate bolted on then you can fit (easily) a power take off unit, however if you can find any units available please let me know.. i think the utility spec ones have a genny fitted to make electrickery..
  12. dont forget that tinnies can explode with enthusiastic driving..
  13. been doing this wierd shape hedge for a couple of years now, just a tickle so far but might suggest cutting it straight one day.. oh thats me doing my bestest pose, working my way up to a lunge oneday:thumbup1:
  14. ravensthorpe, west yorks, amused me enough to snap..
  15. i keep playing with the idea of fitting a pto driven chipper into the back of a 110, chipping into a trailer giving you (with a tonne weight unladen trailer) a possible chip capacity of 2.5tonnes, the area around the chipper could be built into enough handy tool lockers to carry a lot of essential kit. landrover dealer tell me the pto for the 2.4 engine isnt signed off yet so cannot be used yet but im pretty sure a 200tdi would be well up to the task..
  16. im taking my 110work truck, and my bro is bringing his v8 90..
  17. when i was travelling round california a couple of years ago we used library for internet connection etc, there was some amazing books on the old logging, i hadn't realised how large scale the felling was.. there are still 'old growth' stumps everywhere
  18. not for reading..incase i run out of essential roll haha
  19. i've got the collins one next to the toilet..
  20. at last haha, was wondering how you would use it with 3 legs..
  21. where did the woodchip go? in the roofbox?
  22. rope/winch cable snapped?
