  2. didn't see any, the fb nearest the waterfall was an old one- all split open but i get nervous around water with my beloved camera so didnt nip over there..

  6. the kretschmaria took out a large limb which took out half the crown on its way down.. looked like a bombsite, just got to figure out what to do with the dbh 6ft stem now.. client wants it cut to 3ft high as a feature.
  7. first one found lurking in the yard followed by the others all in one garden surrounding a monster beech that failed.

  10. extra stress on the conrod/crank with faster acceleration i think was the excuse, to me it makes it more betterer an stuff..
  11. they are a pain in the rs, the first time i filled one up it sheared off in my hand.. thankfully the local stihl dealer usually has a boxfull in stock..
  12. used a makita for about 5yrs with a robin engine, never any probs, starts second pull everytime, treat it to a carb kit every year or so and it just keeps going.. unlike the stihl i bought new 12mth ago that takes up to 10pulls to get going and dies after ticking over for 30secs..(nice reach though)
  13. someone once told me it might shorten the lifespan of the saw.. but who cares when its cutting fast..?
  14. i use subbies a fair amount when needed, i'll take your number and keep it.. Ed.
  15. sheesh, it broke opposite the gate..
  16. looks like a bolette, i'll be shot down in a minute as a fungkicker by somebody who is funghugger no doubt.. are there any trees near it?
  17. always worth modding for more performance, my 460 was a bit disapointing when new, but 3mths in i got the stihl exhaust mod minus the spark arrester and bigger dogs, the difference was amazing, revs up faster, cuts quicker and when started at 8am makes people really upset with the extra noise..
  18. thought you were going to say 'its only got half a load in it'..
  19. i have hired in loads of different machines but my tw190 beats them all, im well happy with it, could do with a removable tracked chassis to make it perfect..
  20. extract of cypress? ..sap?
  21. without the logs on board they would have been swept away.. wonder if that would work with vosa?
  22. we like making as much noise as poss too, when the neighbours kids started yelling because chipper was ticking over after a bladechange i turned it up full rpm for 20mins haha, we had a vicar come out screaming when logging up for 4hrs with ms460.. he was soo mad, all red in the face.
  23. by economy chapter 8 kit do you mean one mini roadcone without the sleeve? 2450kg
  24. just over the hill the villages of thongsbridge, netherthong & upperthong.. well every part of a thong really..
  25. whoa careful, your avatar is alight.. do you mean charging them for splitting the wood as well? i usually suggest i take away all the wood and then sell them some lovely seasoned wood instead..
