  1. client went to move his 10plate ranger back up his gently sloping gravel driveway, didnt matter how gentle with revs/clutch he was, the wheels were spinning as he got slowly further away from where he wanted to be.. eventually he got a run up and made it before slamming the door in anger and watching as the landy did it backwards with a chipper in tow without any spin at all..
  2. ziplining is fun, we had a small one rigged at sts northern climbing do (nobody was being paid to install it past the first branch), that processor dude will have to sharpen his axe now..
  3. last apf we stopped over in back of a van in a nice quiet carpark, it got busier and busier the later it got.. lots of men parking next to each other then getting into each others cars etc.. still a bit disturbed by it now..
  4. i cant eat eggs.. they make me run for the nearest bush:thumbdown:
  5. been picking this week, so far had blackberry crumble, raspberry and cherry crumble, swapped some woodchip for a load of apples and plums, the woman made the plums into plum jam. swapped more chip for spuds, carrots etc. found a haul of hazelnuts on a hazel we coppiced.. oh and a couple of pigeon eggs in an omlette:thumbup:
  6. hope it works for you, when i sold up my last business and went full time i was just hoping it would work out, its going ok now but i'm thinking i might need a new tent soon and am starting to panic a bit in case i cant afford, also i think the landowner will find me living in his wood one day..

  8. there is a defender round here i have spotted a couple of times with 'cutting hedge' down the side, at this point i would like to announce.. we also do tree work, -im getting sick of hedges.

  11. more hedge trimming, yew hedge that hasnt seen a pair of clippers for a few years..
  12. my missus keeps telling me to park it out of sight, but this weather i'll park right up to the door, my gaff isn't as big as Deans but its a better neighbourhood.

  15. he sounds like an uneducated oaf, think like him, how would you kill a neighbours tree? nip into their garden and pour some oil based liquid or other harmful substance into the ground near the tree base, are there signs of ground disturbance? nearby vegetation suffering? a quick dig around in the soil might show up foul play. dont forget a lot of rowans are dying of a vascular disease at the moment, any photos? Ed.
  16. strong smell of melting plastic/rubber last week, i annoyed the woman by asking her 3times what was on fire in the kitchen (she has a history of cooking pizza with the foam base still under it), then noticed the black rings on the carpet as the underlay was burning.. oops

  21. wierd canker growths all over an ash lastweek, i popped one in my mouth and chewed in front of recent new groundy(it was horrible), he thought i was joking so i spat it out, oh well it usually works on kids haha, next thing would you believe it he tried one and i nearly wet myself at the face he pulled. then told him its a kind of tree cancer he had in his mouth:thumbup:.. which arbtalker was it???

  25. shut your eyes and go for it.. erm i mean get some scrap bits of metal and weld them together till it looks right, i used body panels and tin snipped them into strips then welded them back together for practice, thicker stuff is easier to do so practice on thin stuff..
