  1. Just thought i'd share couple of pics. Be cool to see anyone elses. FIrst pic is first load of the year coming off on 5th july, earliest ever start we've had
  2. me and the girlfriend both work bloody hard, farming and horses, and share everything cooking and house work wise. wouldnt want it any other way. I've seen my mum wait on my dad for 25yrs and i never ever want that. when we arent shattered, we both enjoy cooking, probably me more so, but i never expect dinner to be on the table even after 20hr days. by not expecting, its a great surprise when it is. this time of year i love getting home with enough light to get the bbq going, can cook most meals on that i think the old, i work hard all day is a shite excuse for not cooking every now and again for the misses.
  3. i was muck spreading a few years back and roared into an old really rotten heap with thr loader, lifted up a grab full and the amount of snakes that were falling out of the load scared the **** out of me!! they were wriggling around like a fishermans bait box of worms!!! never seen anything like it before
  4. Just wondered really as I typed in Firewood earlier and was amazed at how many different sellers of firewood there was on there. Much success??? Prices seem very low and crazy on there!! Cheers All the best

  8. your right there bill, i have been honest with all my customers and never had a problem, always explain what they are getting and where it comes from, how its processed etc.

  10. do you really make £80 profit on the size load? I sell a level 10ft 5ft trailer for £150 and will be £175 this winter. Be brave I say

  13. is that a pick up type truck or a cabstar type? did u have to stiffen suspension at all? i am looking at fitting a small hiab to my new pick up but am concerned about weight

  18. chap near me has had 300t delivered into his yard recently and has another 300t in a wood local to me. more expensive but not harder to get i'd say
  19. what price you gonna sell for s? I would love to do bags too but pick up is my only delivery truck and not sure its right for bags?!
  20. Good Evening, IF anyone is ever in need of a tip site Colchester or Bury St Edmunds, please dont hesitate to contact me. I'll happily take any timber, hardwood/softwood I'm not fussed, from anyone that needs shot of it on a job close by. I dont expect anything for nothing and will happily pay cash for any decent stuff. Suffolk site is ten minutes from Sudbury, Clare, Haverhole and 15 from Bury. Essex site is 10 mins from Sudbury and 15 mins from Colchester. Many thanks Ben
  21. gonna be a bit different this saturday evening, but still be nice...now going out the door to take over on the combine. taking the dog with me, and camera hopefully get some nice pictures cheers
  22. Jay, stop being a tart and spend an afternoon spiltting it all failing that, let your best young farmer friend come over with 15t trailer and pick it up might even buy you and emily a drink for the pleasure
  23. I've just moved ten mile away from my previous yard and am having to more or less start all over again as I never delivered out this far. No shops round here at all to advertise in, so I have made sure I've presence in all parish magazines, I have made the 2 pubs aware of my firewood business. Website is done and next is sign writting the truck. I also have a few nets of kindling for sale on the drive. Good luck
  24. First 3 are from bbq last friday, every one loved the candles, bugger to get going though as there was no breeze at all. 2nd pics are night after, re lit one and had a quiet beer
