  1. I’ve purbuckled (i think thats the right term) some decent lumps up ifor ramps using truck winch or petrol capstan. The capstan is nice as uses rope
  2. Has anyone used one of these? i need something for milling.     Reed cutting

    We have been asked to cut some reeds. Some of the smaller stuff can be flailed and some needs brushcutting due to access but there is a fair wack they would like cut and raked up. Does anyone have any experience of using a cutterbar mower for this? it's pretty thick stuff but figured if we take things steady it might be worth a go?

  8. Yeah in sure there is a market for an auto 'work' pickup. I dont need leather dash board, chrome mirrors or matching carpet just a decent pull and bit of comfort

  13. I’ve been asked to cut a stack of cladding to match existing. Whats there is larch but i’ve only got douglas in the yard. Just wondering how much difference there would be once its weathered?

  18. Sorry for late reply. Yes plus vat. We can do loads of stakes but bit short on binders however I do have contact for more (hazel or willow). Could do a discount for big order or collection from site. Cheers

  20. Afternoon. Cutting coppice and have loads of stakes/binders available. Site is Potters bar way and our yard is oxford way so collection from either or cound deliver. Alternatively its cut/drifted and if we are on site you can come and cut you own cheers 07703192775

  24. I'm in need of a new helmet (ground/forestry only) and after much deliberation have decided to stick with the good old petzl vertex and peltor x4 muffs.   25. Chris I'm in the same boat (avant 528) and am near Oxford. I want to get a winch sorted as well-maybe cheaper to get 2 made? If I get anywhere I'll let you know
