  1. Sequoia sempervirens - coast redwood Cupressus arizonica 'Glauca' - Blue Monterey Cypress
  2. I'd certainly be up for it if I didn't have college on a Thursday :-(
  3. If your going to spend that money on a top handle just get a 420mm silky sugoi! Less maintenance and would probably outlast it!
  4. We've got a fairly cheap one. Clips onto the battery with very long cables! It's 3000lb but very very slow! So slow it's not even worth setting up! I would choose something more substantial if I was to buy one!
  5. I played Dodgeball last night. I had a "69" with what I initially thought was a sexy Thai lady.
  6. A mixture of both. I'd have the tickets I have now but wouldn't be anywhere else without the knowledge from college
  7. I think so rob I still need some hands if anybody wants to come along.
  8. you sure would have had fun if you had to climb that, knock out some big lumps and the rest of the tree gets rocking. not good! at least it came down in the right place!
  9. Pic 3, Kretzmarina deusta, causes basal decay and windthrow, rarely shows signs of such decay in crown, so it can just fail without notice pic 4, I would certainly bet its a Gano, seems too thick to be applanatum, i would hazard an educated guess at adspersum. no meripilus present? that is one mahoosive included union on that beech, bound to spit its dummy out sooner or later! esp. with a gano hanging off it!
  10. Youve got PM
  11. proves its the driver, never the machine
  12. There were internal cavities by the looks of it, difficult to work out but it seems like it was in those. Seems odd as this would mean when it sporulated it would just go onto the same tree? Unfortunately I didn't get the job. Phoned me up saying thanks but we will do it ourselves! Drove past an hour later and you could see the telehandler near the pond. In this pic you can see that the decay was below soil level and that the kretz was inside. FB are just to the left of the remaining strap of wood.
  13. It has! My dad was a tool and filled it with water (800l) and then drove it on soft soil. Sank straight up to the diffs in about 10 feet! I did laugh! Had to be dragged out with the tractor.
  14. I always get complaints from my neighbours because I always walk about my garden wearing only my boxers. I don't see what the problem is, I think they make a lovely hat.
  15. I have 5 different books. Each one will cover some that others don't. Encyclopaedia of trees is a good one. Rather descriptive.
  16. Not really SE but this all all I know of for failures near me. What's interesting is the kretz was completely internal. No external signs. Bomb waiting to go off!
  17. How many brushes did you chip before you found the right size one Seems like 14hp it is. Bit of elbow grease never does any harm!
  18. Chunky is indeed the best way Ed!
  19. I am. I'm on the second year of fdsc. What days are you in class?
  20. whereabouts do you live?
  21. hama i worked at a house which had two old sycamore pollards at the front, both were lapsed with about 30ft of growth on top, but the plates on the bark peeling off were as big as the palm of my hand. one of them has kretzmarina unfourtunately!
  22. well how about its someone looking for some firewood, the guy says he has 30-32, 38, chipper, first aid and PL insurance. How do you know they arent a member here? Im not casting any judgement
  23. if i had the money in my pocket now id have that, but i need a new one over finance to warrant getting one, what type of trailer hitch is that steve?
  24. I messages and asked and apparently have tickets and insurance. I'll keep quizzing them!
