  5. hang on ive just had a thought, i think someone else got the shovel hung up too. im not sure, can anyone remember?
  6. mick was the only one to get the shovel to hook up so currently holds the record at a whopping 15ft (give or take). As for nosh, 1 woody and 1 squirrel wasnt quite enough to feed everyone:biggrin:

  10. ive allways been led to believe its nothing more than curtousy and nothing legal. technically you are responsible for the maintanance of the rails on your fence so it makes sense that on fences with rails (such as closedboard for example) you keep the rails on the inside. obviously you are responsible for all parts of your fence but i think the reason for it being specific to rails is that they form part of the main structure of the fence. hope this helps.

  17. are we talking pins on plates screwed to posts or pins running right through the posts? i could understand them bending at the plate or even snapping but for the lug or pin to go on a solid one through the post seems very unusual. looking forward to the pics.
  18. sorry sam, ive been fencing for years, it was my trade before getting into trees and im still fencing now but ive never heard that:confused1:im not saying youre wrong but i wouldnt agree. have you ever tried bending those pins? it isnt easy and not sure even possible!

  22. hi all, i'm looking for work on a self employed/freelance basis. currently i have cs30 and cs38 and about 2 years experiance, most of which spent on the ground although i have carried out aerial work under supervision. i plan to further my tickets as and when i can afford to put myself through the courses. im 28 and take alot of pride in what i do. my aim is to eventualy build up my own reputable business. at the moment im concentrating on trying to build contacts and prove myself in this trade while gaining valuable experiance. any days would be appreciated as i hope to start filling my weeks up with work. i'll keep this light reading for now, but for anyone interested please reply on this thread or pm me and i will gladly go into more depth and answer anything you may need to know. thanks in advance, dave:001_smile:
