Its just get on my boobs that Its a college and they are always saying to us HSE is men't to be top. When they carnt even do it them self's you could argue the point all day and they still wont budge just have to what to see the nptc person says anything to college about it I dont think the nptc can do anything but if they have them breathing down there backs then hopefully they will take note before HSE gets hard on them

Sorry for the late replay Been in to college and spoke to the head of the college said about the helmets and even showed him this thread His replay was its up to the tutor on what they think is safe So getting no where with him ___________________________________________________________ An nptc person came in to do a cs38 with some of the lads..All passed I asked him are the helmets where safe. His replay was down to the college i will go back and ask them what is going on Might get some where with him. The only requirment was that the helmets needed to have a chain strap and they would be safe to climb in so any helmet is safe to climb in to him _____________________________________________________ Went in and spoke to my tutor about it all. His replay was. The course has no more funding so no new ppe and no 1 will go in for anything now till next year ____________________________________________________ So all in all still getting no where

We had a new arb photo taken to go into the new books about the college we got all kitted up boots pants gloves even jackets and thoses husky helmets to go into the 2010 books or 2011 and health and saftey officer came in to our college a week ago and said the PPE was all up to date nothing wrong with it I even asked if the husky helmets where ok and he said Its up to the college on what they buy and what they feel safe for the students So yes we need all the ppe up to date or there going to be an accident and some 1 is going to pay big time I paid a £30 fee to go to the college £30 you wont buy a helmet for it but its a start to getting some new stuff

Like mark said thanks for posting really enjoyed it and learnt a thing or 2 aswell wish more people could do things like this would help out loads Getting to see different ways of things getting done again

Some of the lads have got there cs 38 2morro and the Guy is ment to be Top on health and saftey Everything by the BOOK!!! Think i will pick his brains 2morro as i need to go in a ground for some 1 I have mine a week 2morro and im bricking it Its only the ???? and the rescue im unsure on ..Im fine with the climbing But i will be amazed in what he has to say about it. Rob i will have a look round 2morro as well most of the stuff has been moved around a a fair few things have been scrapped for no good reason think it was to make room dunno what for

The only reason why i am talking about the husky helmets is that's what i use in college. I would of thought the college would of been Top on Health and saftey as we are in-experience students and more like to have an accident.Then some 1 who been doing it for 10 or so years.

Just an update on it Went in to college and spoke to my tutor all he had to say on it was "We only need to provide you with the basic equipment if your not happy with the equipment you can buy your own and bring it in to use.The husky helmets are more then safe to be used while climbing ill ask the head of the college if we can get new helmets but don't hold your breath" So looks like i have got no where AGAIN same old crap
