  10. To answer your 2 questions do a course and get the experience as well, You will be very very lucky if you do your course and some one gives you a climbing job right away. You need to be the top man on the ground before you even leave the ground. You will cost any company money as you will be slow and not really have a clue what to do in the tree so jobs will take longer, Dont let that stop you tho ive been on the ground for 3 years and only started climbing for the last 2years and its hard work. You need to be able to do everything on the ground that you can in the air. Know everyones role on the ground better then they do Who ever is in the tree is the boss even if the boss is on the ground having a cuppa tea. The more experience and quicker the climb the more money and work they can bring in to the boss. experience and quals are key to being a top climber

  12. You have just got done training and your taking job on right away, Fair enough people need to make money and live. But your 90% more likely to have an accident. Please tell me you will spend the £100 or so to get a climber in. before things go round i dont know your experience but seeing you did your 38/39 last week you have no idea on how that tree will cope if it is safe to climb and how to carry it out. training is only to get you off the ground doing this job requires experience.

  18. Really depends on your budget and what you would lower and a regular basis, You can spend 1,000 on lower kit. Is there are so many options you could have such as a Bollard to a porta wrap. In my kit i have ISC 50kn swing cheek pulley ISC medium cast pulley 150km 5 Big Dan Krabs 6-7 Slings ISC small aluminium rigger plate Yale Polydyne multi-sling 19mm x 8m More details about Yale Polydyne multi-sling 16mm Marlow Bull lowering rope 50m for what im doing this kit has worked out perfect for me, Have a think on how you rig large chunks or small chunks give your self a budget on buy what you only need/ What will get used on every rig no good having a RC3002 if it will get used once or twice a year, Justin has some ready made kits on his website and so dose honey brothers
