  7. 4 sure mate! bt dont worry im sure a basic thing like the three knot system will be explained fully and soon after youll be moving onto more complicated climbing systems so dont worry too much just get through it and enjoy it, play safe

  10. think i might be going in dec now mate! be mad going into mid summer suddenly! looking forward t that! ha ha

  11. mmm im not convinced! when felling a tree im consiouse not to stand directly behind the direction of fall but out at 45 degrees to one side so in the event of it going backwards your in the least likey place to get pinned! i was tought this method originaly when first felling trees and have kinda stuck to it. also it looks heavy and clumbersombe for arborists, maybe more suitable for forestry work. nothings safer than the old rope about2/3 the way up
  12. i work for 2 firms and one runs 12" and the 14", i prefer 12" but can see the benefit on keeping the big saw on the ground for as long as possible! i feel mor in control with the smaller bar particularly when target pruning in tight confined places. its personal preference 4 sure!
  13. that was a good response. like ur humour

  18. hey guys i startd my career as an arborist in NZ! i emigrated there and did a 2 year certificate in arb level 4 in Hamilton in the north island. its an amazing place and i think i would rather work there tthan oz, i dont know for sure koz i havnt worked in oz but its so mega hot there at times and the dangerous poisonous stuff doesnt invite me! Plus kiwi people are wkd to work with. ive been back in england now climbing for 2 years but just in the progress of sorting out my return flight to nz. My ex employer out there has offered me his business and i cant say no! im guna get back out there and continue climbing, this time for myself! hes well istablished and a blinding bloke so wish me luck. so i rekn go 4 it! if you wana move somewhere and work make it somewere different nz or oz! if you dont like it come back!
  19. you can tell the left saw with the stihl bar was blunter than the other, the saw was throwing out dust, the other saw had ribbons of sworf being made.
  20. wkd vid mate, like the remote idea! that must make work a damn site easier!
