As far as I am aware we are using forestry loaders and not cranes, we do not have a hook on the end of the loader and do not require to hold a load in position and/or have a drop test as such, if you ask a supplier re crane test they always have a list of words to make it not a crane, similar situation to winch rope and lifting v. pulling. ( wish I had a firewood day! spent most of it trying to i.d. correct oil for van longlife service and ended up with fuel filter not fitting holder, back to the drawing board
  5. Depends where you are treenuts, competition and all that! But Woodmizer good, service, back up, help, parts excellent ! I have working knowledge of welsh and s.e. reps could not want for better .

  7. Made the mistake of not using metal detector enough the other day, two days milling with woodmizer, and ruined 3 newish band saw blades, silly thing was last hit could/should have been avoided.

  10. this is sold in uk by allbut Albutt Timber Grapple - NEW along with other good bits! K.T.S Arm Grapple is the grapple use with either 3 point linkage or front loader, I would hope you could adapt existing clamp to contain brash by ? revising mounting point of ram or clamp. I have adapted a bobcat grab bucket to fit our mini tractor to do a similar job ( cant find pics of it though, ugh )

  14. It seems that adding the words any driver and work to insurance on this type of vehicle sends underwriters into a vanishing act
