  1. hi,a compact 25hp tractor does not produce 25hp at the pto shaft! ive a 1530 ford and that doesnt like my 6 inch jenson chipper.....neither does my fordson dexta .
  2. there are two different torques as there are two different grades of bolts. i will look in my book tomorrow if nobody buts it up first.
  3. take it back to the dealer if still under warranty.

  5. yes,but they have no test on them ,not guaranteed nor have a cable with them so its buyer beware!
  6. hi,they are rubbish and all chains will kickback if not treated correctly.
  7. ha,i like the above, my 075is only to power a mill and due to the fact it has no chainbrake. everyday saws consist of 023,029,341,039,044,064,088,200t. also run 171 danarm . must have another 10+ saws not in use.
  8. hi,did try to turn idle screw in a tad but my chain started to creep turned idle screw 1/2 tad back the other way saw cuts out .may order a new screw. got same problem with exhaust coming loose most of the time....ohh the joys of old chain saws!
  9. yes, cleaned all old fuel out and refilled with fresh ,set carb as book said...... but when hot after sawing it ticks over nice for 99%of time then the other1% it stop dead and takes 3-4 pulls to fire again then its ok till next time. any ideas?

  11. hi, does anybody know or where too get carb settings (high&low screws) or a rough idea so i can get it started after many years of idleness.
  12. hi, trackers are worth the cost and more, got all my defenders fitted with them, got good discount of nfu as well.so must be worth it just for the peace of mind everything is safe let alone the reduced insurance premium!
  13. hi,lots of old farm trailers had 20 inch diameter wheels and tyres, imo 20 inch tyres are hard too get and expensive so look out for trailers with 16 inch wheels and tyres.
  14. hi,logs are flying out these last to weeks,working all weekend doing deliverys down to my last 30-40 tons cut/dry.may have to start cutting reserve stock if i have time.
  15. hi,sounds to me as the starter is on the way out/lazey get it checked out at a auto electric place, cost me just over 100 pound for a recon starter for my leyland tractor.
  16. hi, got the same stove on our boat and you need to keep bottom air adjuster opened about 1/4-1/2a turn as well as keeping top open.to adjuster is mainly for drawing air up to keep glass clean.i have tried this method on all kinds of wood over the last 14 years and allways seems to work.
  17. had a similar prob with a bobcat on a farm ended up sucking fuel /**** out with a wet vacuum cleaner, flush, then re vacuum.
  18. hi,have u checked for water/condinsation at the bottom of the tank? if not drain tank and refill with fresh winter diesel also u could fit a water trap/ sedimentor in the fuel line.

  22. sorry no they are/were fairly common years ago both 2 &4 wd models still good tractors and parts are cheep to buy.
  23. hi, whats your nuffield, a 10/60 with a leyland 270/384 cab on. whats the noise level like on the road?
  24. hi,just wondering if your antifreeze is at the right strength or not. if not has it froze and poped a core plug out or done the head gasket as ive seen this happen on a v8 with same symptoms as you.
