  1. hi,its vital to keep the 2faces ground, if you dont then the cutting edge just gets wider the more you grind a new edge on , thus the bigger the cutting edge the more horsepower the engine uses. knife cutting edge is only about 5mm. maximun knife wear limit is 60mm/80mm.we pay about thirty quid a pair for grinding if we take 3 sets in at once.
  2. hi,dont know if its an help but F W McCONNEL at ludlow used to make hydraulic chainsaws to run of tractor hydraulics. they were a not that popular with the farmers due to needing long pipes to reach the trees.
  3. we used to have one at aplace i used to work at ,they were AWSOME! they were made by a firm called DRUMHEAT do no if still going.

    Iveco Daily?

    clutch pedals break on the stop bracket which stops the pedal comming up 2 the dash panel, pedal assymbley one takes 1 hr to fit but need 2 people. front springs break due 2 three burly climbers in front seat&to much chip/gear on front axle/to fast on speed humps!
  7. iveco dailys any day,trannys look like your gippo outfit! 35c12s 2.3 litre&2.8 litre bigger enigne one carries more weight (gtw).be aware if towing with 3.5 ton truck u should have a tacho fitted and working. vosa in cheshire has just informed us!!

    Iveco Daily?

    had 3dailys 35c12s clutch pedel broke 6or7 times,also front springs also break done 5of them now,other than that keep on service times we change oil &filter every 5k !
  10. yes, the green ones with steel toe caps,very light and comfy to wear although a bit pricey!
  11. Jenson anyday, all the others are rubbish. We run a fleet of 3 of them.
  12. get out of yer trees,on yer bike,run it to the red line!...
