hi, are you on about your bolt hitting the hyd damper inside the towing hitch? if so push the damper in until you can get a smaller sized smooth punch in from underneath to line every thing up so to speak .(i know how to do it but is hard to put in to words!)

hi,all my defenders have h4 type lights with halogen bulbs . i use 150w main beam 100w dipped beam i know its a bit naughty but at least you can see where your going!

yes granted perkins phaser is a good engine ,yes ive had a rb44 its was cherry picker type factory fitted v8 engine ex leccy board.yes prices start at 2-3k but you may need to do some work on them. imo the mog is a better tool and in a different class/price.hope you have fun and luck with yours.

rb44s still have brake trouble and parts are hard to find. they rust badly and are only a two seater cab.loads of them at withams most have done little miles due to them been unrelieble,start at 2-3k,but still wouldnt have one.need hgv licence to drive one.went into buying one for work but wasnt a fesible option torun them every day!old hat machines,unavaible parts and vehicles which dont meet current construction and use regs.

hi,i am in with both hands ,owned over 45 landys from s1- defenders run 3 at present. overlanded to iceland- westen sahara and everwhere in between!people can slag landys of all day long ,but will the jap cr*p still be going in 60 years time, like landys have!.......NO.not in 10 years even.

hi, clarke(machine mart) do average cheap welders .try to get one with a fan built in ,as it will assit with cooling when doing heavier welds amp range 60-180 amps would be useful.

wear a fleece like we do,just a thought naked flame from calor heater and flamable liquids/fuel vapour equals no insurance cover!

forget ramsey&superwinches go for a milemarker h12 ,pto driven hydraulic pump . 2 winches on 2 l/rs 3years use no problems!

disco &defender engines are the same except the turbo and manifold so just take your old one of old engine ,if buying s/h engine just think about a new cam belt change while engine is out of motor.if you need any more help/ info contact me, worked for l/r dealer for7 years.

200tdi are bullet proof motors ,if serviced ! had one in a disco and it was on 384k when i sold it. sorry about your bad luck but i would say big ends/ crank. dont bother fixing it ,rip it out and stick another 200tdi in,300tdi will fit but you have to fu*** about abit. might as well check clutch and release arm while apart. one /two days max!

just brought a small chipper to go down side of houses, need some info/parts book if possible. plate on machine reads chippit chipper model 800-g ormark industries oregon chainsaw division. any help will do as nowt on google.

we had 2tipper bodies/toolboxes built one year ago, very nice but very expensive. good finish but weld on alloy brackets broke six weeks after we took delivery of them.only recently had them fixed f o c.

hi,i would choose 088 any day,may be due to slightly eaiser maintance and i think to me the 088 is more balanced to use.also i have a088 and dont have a 3120.
