  1. Any one else do snow clearance / gritting? Let's see your setup .
  2. Yes I don't agree with all the cuts including cutting the police, You hear conflicting stories from both sides I just believe in this day and age there must be a more proactive way of getting your points across rather than striking. I think all the Emergency services should be treated fair and paid well for the jobs they do I just personally think striking is not in the best interest of public safety.
  3. Well I now have to work until I reach 70 to gain state pension I won't be fit enough to climb trees at that age, do I stand outside the dole office with a fire stamping my feet no I get on with it. Also some newly signed up fire fighters are striking when they are aware of the changes before joining? You are paid more than the soldiers I know of a family who's dad was serving in afghan and on his return he was covering the strike I'm sure he would much rather be with his family? Then there's the nurses..... Just my opinion, We all have one :-)
  4. If the strike was not taking place could a engine of got there those few crucial miniutes earlier?
  5. Perhaps when two friends of your family die in a house fire on the day of the strike you may think differdntly.
  6. No problem with the fireman in our trade , but what I can't understand is when you go on strike you put us (general public) in danger your gripe is with the government not us so please go and blockade or something in the city and don't put our lives at risk, Rant over :-)
  7. If it's to be run off hydraulics the Browns is a good strong splitter they are on offer at around £900 at the moment.
