  1. Comes with an operator. You can self drive but need to have a crane ticket which none of our guys have so we used their operator
  2. Thanks. Yes it was a unic
  3. Ok that was stu. Yeah we drop stuff up there every now and then as our yard is in fawkham. Are you local to Meopham and have an iveco think I may have seen you driving about
  4. Cheers mate. It was for the chestnut and the lime really in the background. The chestnut was a lump and we couldn't get a timber grab to it, chogging it would have been horrible as block paving and drains under those ply boards. Under the line in the back ground was a bunker which was unstable and wouldn't take lumps being dropped on it so I thought a crane would be quicker than snatching
  5. About £800 + vat delivered and collected and with operator for 8 hrs
  6. 3t at close range and about 800kg at 9m. Max height was 19.5m
  7. Some footage from a two day job. First day stripping crowns of 2 x Limes, 1 x Oak and 1 x HC. Second day lowering off and extracting the timber with the help of a tracked crane. Battery gave up so only got small amount of footage. Nothing massive biggest pick was around a ton
  8. That's new as well I think, only reason I know is we had to show insurance docs to show we were covered in case I put it on its side! Not a massive lifting machine only about 3ton at close range and 800kg at about 9m
  9. All Aspects on here has a friend who has an 8 wheeler with a crab, she'll probably reply in a bit
  10. Only £180K wanna go halfs?? be a nice edition to your vermeer!
  11. Don't think so, we used Coppard plant hire and I think COL used someone from Essex or further afield from memory Edit - I did get the idea from David's job though
  12. A few from today using a tracked crane to finish off some trees we started yesterday
  13. What he said, only thing is it gets wet in winter up there and you can get stuck of you drive to far down the track/field although they do have a tractor on site
  14. Good price then mate if that's esso, still only use v power though!
  15. Is that bp/shell prices or supermarket stuff? I personally always use bp/esso or shell as had bad experiences with the supermarket stuff and only use the v power stuff in my truck
  16. Coming down a bit here too, I paid £1.24 for the shell v power diesel today. Normal diesel was £1.16
  17. Very nice truck mate, hope it earns its keep well and will no dought go on for years and years as its isuzu.
  18. Sounds a lot but it is a lot of truck for that money. I really liked the isuzu when I looked at them but the l200 all in with vat tow bar etc was around £15k with 3 year servicing and 5 year warranty. If I wanted a tipper and 3500kg towing then isuzu is where I would look. Very nice truck mate, was it Roger Young you got if from?
  19. Really like your isuzu. I was down in devon on holiday and spoke to the isuzu dealer at the totnes show and went to their showroom to look at the single can etc. The isuzu is a quality truck, albeit a little dearer than others but I really like them. We've got two isuzu 3.5t chip trucks and they are very good. In the end I brought an l200 single cab as they were doing the best deal and I don't need the 3.5t towing capacity for my personal truck but I really do rate the isuzu's. What sort of money was the tipper, all in on the road if you don't mind me asking?
  20. How close are your friends units to your Rayburn? Is this the stuff you mean: Knauf Fire Panel Tapered Edge 2400x1200x12.5mm | Wickes.co.uk
  21. Cheers, should have been clearer with what I meant. I have a Rayburn in the kitchen that has units near it and I want to add some type of fire protection to the side of the units. For this what would you recommend? Thanks Jay
  22. Yeah it is actually four sided as it goes round in a square but you'll get the idea from this front side. We've got another one above the Rayburn in the kitchen that does the heating and water etc. Nice to make something out of a tree that I'd worked and taken down. Behind the beam in the lounge is a bit of paper with the details of the job, the crew and date so in the future if they knock the cottage down or do any work when I am gone somebody may find the piece of paper and see where it came from
  23. That's nice David. Is that the tree you used the mobile crane on? I've done the same with mine, used the tree that I did my first crane and hiab job on to make one so have a bit of personal value as well
  24. With regards to the fire proofing material what do you recommend for this? Cheers
  25. All of the guys at work use the silver bull kit bags and they last well, they've also got shoulder straps which help if you've got a long walk into the woods. They ain't cheap bit worth it IMO For ropes we've just brought a few of the petzl bags and they are holding up well. Both bags were from honey's
