Sold a load of seasoned monterey pine two weeks ago,customer complained that it was wet ,i told it was only rain water and if he left it in the shed for a week or so it would dry out fine,his wife phoned this week asking if they could have a load,dropped at their home,i dropped a load of the same monterey as this time only,its had a week of of no rain,logs were dry as a bone,his reply was this is a much better load than the last,and told me you cant beat a good load of seasoned hardwood i just smiled a took payment.

Got let down by simon jajo today on the log front,recons the truck his driver trevor uses blew the gear box yesterday,so im stuck in limbo yet again im seriously going to bye my own timber truck,this is a giant piss take that aint fuckin funny,at this rate ill be going for euro forests load of aspen i mean poplar.

If im honest i thought he was putting lights in the trees,as ive never seen anyone approach a tree in that manner,quite bizzarre,any way Tom had a day off for once and went out with the family,cost me a bundle never again.

Make the most of it ralph theres a yard near me theyve dropped 20 quid a load,on soft wood since winter started,theyve got all the gear and no idea,ive sold every thing i saved plus some im having my first weekend off in months.

the aspen thing i was on about well euro forest tried to sell me a load at 45 plus vat a ton,was keen till i found out it was poplar,thanks for the tip off i owe you one.

Tom need to pick your brains been offered a timber wagon of hard wood ASPEN to be exact what is aspen like is it like oak or ash,would be any good for milling,ant info youve got would be much appreciated cheers brian.

I got myself in the dog house by doing logs all day,but i did get a nice pizza in for tea.

Yep the trees in question are getting wind blown really badly,theire being felled this week when the roads closed,they are a bit ugly but the jobs being done for the right reasons.
