  1. There is no way you should be cutting a 500 year old oak down.....it is a precious eco system.....not a timber tree.! It should be registered with the Ancient Tree Forum asap.

    Absolutely not.....that congrats was for janey for remembering how to tell the difference between perreni and rigi...... I am inrigued by what you say Fungus and I think I will geta sample and get it checked out.........I wasnt sure what it was hence the reason for posting the query.
