  3. cool.....only quarter of an hour from me....fancy showing me some time?? I think the oldest oak in the uk up until it went over a few weeks ago was the Pontfadog Oak A PRIVATE TREE...The Pontfadog Oak is one of the oldest oak trees in the world! It is said to be between 1,200-1,600 years old and may have been growing when the Romans were still in Britain! Permission to visit the tree can be requested via the Tree Council London. As of the 18th April 2013 the tree is entering a new phase of its existence...

  5. Just got the itinary for the 2 day field trip next week. Looks like its going to be a reqlly good one with some interesting talks and site visits. If any of you are going i will see you there.

  15. Nests are very difficult to spot......just because numbers were down doesnt neccessarily mean that they were not there. We would regularly find old nests that were missed from previous years.
  16. This years spraying program commences in Richmond Park this week....as of today there is still no helicopter on site.
