  1. good job that, i saw on your videos your letting the lumps swing half way round the tree. just wondered how you were getting the line back since you havent got a floating pulley or anything that i saw, just tieing it on end of your rope or groundie swinging it back to you?
  2. i can feel the pain just looking at it. hope you havent got to chip it all horrible stuff to chip all kinds of weird and wonderful shapes some of that stuff normally.
  3. still yet to get a tree to try and do them cuts on really fancy trying it though. looks good that though now
  4. well said
  5. looks like abit of a tricky tree that any more pics?
  6. why not just use spikes be quicker than building a platform and sticking a ladder up it.
  7. exactly what i thought
  8. i would say 40quid a day is more than enough for a placement maybe not useing your own fuel and oil is abit cheeky, but like all others have said just head down and show them what you can do. i started on 20quid a day when i had a placement 4 years ago, just got to bite the bullet and enjoy it best of luck.

  15. well that was what im going on since it was posted about the pics of chocking down of a short ash stem.
  16. haha quality music
  17. cause usally when your lowering your doing so to protect whats under it, so it gets to a point where your chocking down and you might aswell not lower it cause its going hit deck before ropes catch it. you will get to that point sooner with useing slings, like i said with the not getting it perfect length slings, useing rope takes the maximum amount of slack out the system.
  18. be alot of messing about with the timber trying get the perfect length sling though, if its slightly to long your going to make the peice fall that extra bit.
  19. good videos and pics there looks like a beast of a tree that
  20. views of fields and more fields.
  21. sounds bad that glad your alright, only had one anchor point split out on me on a conifer once lucky i was comeing down at the time and it broke when i was about a foot or so off floor.
  22. sad news we need more people like him doing things like that for charity top bloke he sounds
  23. theres loads of benches and seats dotted around the owners house backs onto all this woodland so its his back garden really.
  24. we wanted get the landy in there and chip it while we go but guy who owns it said he will burn it all so we are just cutting it up small and stacking it nd stacking timber should keep there wood burners going for a while to come
