  1. strange views and ways to some people and good views and good ways to others you could say. care to explain what strange views and ways i have?
  2. as for saying i need some training thats just takeing the p**s. i know im good at what i do ive done my training. still do training reguarly, to keep my high quality of work and thats why ive got a number of firms who keep bringing me in to do there climbing work. so if your trying to offend me well done.
  3. whats wrong with useing a bench grinder for chains oregon make them for something else do they.
  4. i dout that i can sharpen it in less time than swaping it think my record is under 20secs in competition
  5. yes its called a bench grinder and if i blunt a chain out on a job i always have several spare saves alot of time and hassle out on a job.

  8. i dont NEED to do it everytime i sharpen the chain but i always just give it a quick bash with a flat file while the bars off the saw.
  9. what i plan on doing just never seen bar do that nor had guy was working with so posted it.
  10. i mantain my equipment far more than all the people i no around here. im always taking saws to bits cleaning them up etc. the bar is very well maintained everytime i sharpen chain ive filed the bar for burs, which is why the paint doesnt stay on long on my bars. im not going to bother with taking the bar back its alot of hassle for the price of a new bar ill just buy one.
  11. doesnt take long to get the paint off it with the odd day here and there just felling all day hasnt had alot of use though.
  12. had a fair bit of useing the tip, but nothing more than any of my other bars havent had to cope with. is really strange guy i was working with today was surprised aswell. never mind just one of them things i guess.
  13. yer there is grease holes not been greased as much as it should have its got to be said.
  14. bar has been turned im always swaping from 18in to 15in to 25in all time so its been off and turned and back on again loads.
  15. cant say i do i tighten the chain before i use it then leave it.
  16. had my bar end split in half today while i was logging up today, was only 5 months old and its not used alot since im always up the tree. when i file down the edge burs i never file over the sprocket rivets dont have a clue why it done it never mind yet another new thing to be bought lol
  17. looks good that very fiddley work to get a good shape on them
  18. never had a problem with it at all ive stuck all my ropes in the wash no problem so far.
  19. done some work about 2/3 years ago down a avenue crown raiseing and along the avenue was this great old oak still got a good size crown all in leaf amazing tree.
  20. good thread reminded me, gave me the will power to give a bolt on my motorbike another go and got it out after alot of hammering and oiling can finally put the body panel back that goes there. :thumbup:
