  2. boiling hot day today, had a nice planting job to do had a stream running either side of it so basically a little island that had been clear felled. we planted 150 mixed to replace, then we planted a little hazel coppice in afternoon nice job in the sun. pic is half way through the 150 mixed trees. 800 trees to plant tomorow.
  3. i love how trees are always the after thought
  4. good thread im getting really into my reductions atm always struggled with them, but feel like im trusting my eye now and seeing some good results. hopefully ill be able to do some work like these pics soon.
  5. i reackon you cut off just right amount, looks like good shape, still looks like a tree and its taken alot of weight off the weak new growth. dont you just hate getting round trees that have been pollarded or topped and then left for 10 years to grow up 20ft above old cuts thats what i been doing all week lol
  6. looks gd that mate very nice shape to it. top job.
  7. job from yesterday old ash pollard they wanted heavy reduction and rounding up was horrible to reduce was just bare not happy with how that one turned out. next was a very very one sided oak to just try and even up and reduce the height a tad, very happy with how that turned out. then we had to dismantle a grey popular which was easy stuff. then went back this morning to pollard another old ash pollard which really does look awful. but theres only so much you can do wen they want you to take it where it was done before still there very happy jobs a good'en. they kept all the chippings and timber just pushed the chipper round there garden chipping into flower beds right next to each tree.
  8. have you tryed CGM in downham market way last time i spoke to them they were after a climber worth a try his names tim 07775515101
  9. sounds like a bargain, if its brand new stuff just as others have said be careful that they are good quality products in working order with all right marks on them. i would check up on prices of all different items so you will have a rough idea when you see the kit if its a bargain
