  8. birch was a lovely tree they just wanted it down because was getting to big and light issues of course, they didnt see point in reduceing because they will only have to pay for us to come do it again in few years, so she wanted it out she said trees belong in the woods not gardens conifers came out because when there grand children come to stay they want to be able to watch there everymove and the fact they where on the soon to be half way line of there footy pitch for the children came into it aswell
  9. day 2 conifer bashing time 3rd and 4th pics is shame that it split really low down so couldnt fell it all in one, would have been one for the stunt fell would have just fitted i reackon. since we couldnt fell it in one, i went up striped the big stem to a pole stuck a rigging line at top then attached it to the stem leaning over the hedge and shed and garage. came down and my idea was to just fell it and let the rigging rope swing it away from where it wanted to go, and into the garden where i wanted it to go, worked a treat last pic is just guys whos job it was messing about with his shiney new toy day 3 was today we just cleared it all up and moved all timber and tidyed up. now they desided they want all stumps out so thats tomorow mornings job grinding all stumps out. will take some pictures of totally finished to see what a difference its just a bare garden with 2 xmas trees in middle lol
  10. now that looks like a perfect job to have to do, just go up and crash a big tree down no headaches of rigging

  17. im pretty below average atm with idents, got my RFS course coming up september though cant wait. had job to quote for today, couldnt for the life of me know what it was. had my book out still couldnt find it felt like a right idiot lol. took abit home and finally im desided its a cercis siliquastrum or judas tree to simple people like me. or i may be wrong and someone will correct me? just wondered what the characteristics of this tree, as i have never worked on one this one in question is leaning right out the ground at about 45/50 degrees straight over a garage roof about 30ft tall. thanks in advance
  18. big tree that andy. bet your glad you could get that hiab close enough would have been a nightmare digging rings that size out of the stream by hand.
  19. ahhh it will be alright for a good couple of days before i deside to go down there with the poles.
  20. todays couple of jobs went really quick was home by 3pm, so desided to finally go down my garden and reduce my yew tree as it was looking abit of a state. just need to clip off a couple of little bits that stick out i couldnt be bothered to sort them after i came down.
  21. looked like a nice day for it
  22. hard to judge from the video the real situation or time scales and pressures for job etc. my view was just cutting far to bigger bits for the space its ment to fit into. i think you could have tied the limbs off in better places instead of just above where you was cutting, it would have helped you out alot i think. also with the ears on your cuts have you tryed doing them a couple inches below the cut thats what i do and ive never had a problem. other than that was a good video look forward to more
  23. cheers for the heads up havent herd that before.
  24. posted this pic a while ago now does it count as being the same kind of thing?
  25. cheers, never been one for reductions till recently really got into doing them felt weird didnt even have to pick up the 200t. shame my brand new felcros desided to ping off the spring bit nice little morning job though good weather aswell.
