  1. i put another thread up with it but heres a link [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiY5CDwIub0]YouTube - poplar tree crane removal[/ame]
  2. but if you get a crane in, do the job quicker get onto another job you have still got the 350quid in you pocket because you did 2 jobs instead of 1 or if you finish a day early on a several day job your still earning alot more than not useing one, simple facts. do more jobs = more money + crane = easy work no manual lifting big lumps etc
  3. it was my first time ever useing a crane, all in all went well apart from a couple of times the crane was pre loaded to much so popped the limbs up abit but can only get better. we managed to get the whole tree down and away in 1 day with me and ian and gareth off here and dan who isnt on here. thanks fellas for your hard work [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiY5CDwIub0]YouTube - poplar tree crane removal[/ame]

  8. surely going up a tree in the situation you described would be frowned on more than cutting one handed
  9. just lazy i hope u have a gadget that clips it on with the push of a button so you dont have to leave your seat
  10. i really like the marlow ive been useing it for about 2 years now and still like it. we had a tag line on that big lump of timber near the end. all the rest was way above the house or wasnt going to swing far enough to cause a problem on the house.
  11. dismantled this tree yesterday for ian flatters - (target trees) ian up in the horsechestnut opposite, frosty off here lowering for me, all abit knackered from the weekend comps but never mind we got there in the end had a near miss (my fault for completely under estimateing how much the stem end of a log weighed and it flipping in the video. ian will probs add pics ill add all i have, 1st pic is where the high rigging pulley was, i was shocked when i found that crack up there. 2nd and 3rd pic are start of the 2nd day moved 8-10 tons of timber today and 1 load of sawdust today very hot work.
