  6. finally got round to clearing up the walnut that fell over in the recent winds, we shifted the stems in biggest lumps as we could very heavy lumps there. anyways if anyone is interested in the wood let me know, if not firewood it shall be. also while im at i have a small but good length cedar stem also. im not expecting much interest but if u dont ask you dont get. thanks james
  7. well today was fun i quoted this in october couldnt remember it and i obviously didnt look round it well enough when i priced it up i thought we would be able to fell pretty much all of them if not all of them. i thought was only the 1 wire going on the outside of them. so got started had climb the first bigger one, found out that had a steel angle iron bottom moved onto the next lot which all felled, BUT all the first 6ft of the ten or some stems had a nail every inch up it next ground along had nails and metal wire in them, along with another wire going straight through the middle of them, then the rest of them were worse with metal in them all and wires going through either side of them. still got it all done by 2.30 with 1 mega full transit load
  8. well i was feeling reckless that day i guess

  24. just got back from a call out, walnut i told the owner last time i was him just after xmas that it had honey fungus, and the union the crack had appeared over time, had opened another inch. i said id give it a month at the most. but fell on deaf ears. but lucky for him went it fell it caught the telegraph pole didnt knock any of the 3 lines on the pole, pushed the fence abit, and didnt go in the very busy road the other side of the fence. if any one wants the timber its in long lengths, if not it shall be firewood
