  1. I personally blame the people who have no interest in changing the current laws, be it the judges or the politicians. Its a very well know fact that these scum account for a large part of specific crimes, and yet they use loop holes to get off scott free. This camp only has 6 familes on it currently so there are not that many culprits to chose from. why not change it so that by association, ie living surrounded by stolen goods that you have some guilt. I am sure many of us could think of loads of changes to stop them or at least make there life harder to commit crime. It turns out that they stole another van on the thursday night which ad a tracker unit fitted, the police did a covert search and saw the van and then launched a proper raid at dawn this friday. Upon entering they basically found a shed load of stolen kit, including 6 trucks. They ask if anybody owns anything, they shrug there sholders and because nobody was seen doing it they are all presummed innocent! The only reason they recovered my body was the recovery man saw it poking above a fence and got the police to investigae. they were already getting ready to leave. my body was behind a fence in a big hole! upon reovery to the secure location the police took photos of the body and immidiately wrote it off as a simple ally box with not way to trace the owner so its wortless apart from scrap. YET from 10ft away you can still see 90% of the sign writing!!!! it was only because the recovery firm looked into it and got my phone no off the body, then he called my office to c if we have lost a vehicle( which we had) that we have got anything left to show for it. The police didnt contact us for another 24 hrs. And only upon finding out how much the body costs to build was the officer dealing with it showed any interest! the icing though is with the ladder. I asked the officer about my ladder as i knew they had recovered a large number of ladders at the site. I expalined that it was a very distinctive ladder ( i have never seen another like it ever!) and would be instantly recognisable. On the phone the office seems a bit cagey and unwilling, and kind of fobbed me off with a 'speak to us next week when we have had another look'line. Yet speaking to the recovery firm he said that 2 of the gypises did tree work for a living (yeah right) and said that the ladders were theres, so they took some pictures and let them lake a load of them away!!! Thats a £250 ladder that isnt covered by the insurance! And to easy life one of the biggest problems is they claim is racial discriminalisation. How exactly? they r as white as me! Only difference is they live in mobile homes and steal for a living. thats it! This country is plagued and will be its down fall by do gooders claiming everybody has rights for everything. Except the white middle class. they just have to pay and put up. The poor get given everything. they rich have it all so are shielded from the scum and /or poor so they dont care. i think i could rant for ever but need to get some sleep soon. parting thought. insurance keeps going up but look in the rich list that came out and quite a few are in there. ( admirals worth something like 3 Billion). i am sure they are still blaming the rise on sept 11. or is the drought now......
  2. Just found out the police have recovered the body. Where? Wait for it..... Gypsie camp, static one in tadley. Also found quads, 6 cars an loads of ladders. Our body was painted in primer for its next coat, but u could still read our logs and sign writing. The chassis cab etc is not there but getting the body is a start I guess seeing as its 8k worth! And one copper hurt in the raid when they threw metal bolts at his face. Not sure of the next stage yet, will let u k ow.

    tough mudder!

yeah the shock was a real shock. get it? tbh the obstacles is a doddle for anybody doing our game for a living, there was even one where u pick up a log and go for a run with it! i was going to ask where to send my bill! for me it was the running especally the last bit which was the best part of 3-4 miles constant at a guess. i would have been slower but my brother is a demon when it comes to long distance running, well i cant have him beating me now( even though inside i was begging him to stop and walk just for 2 mins!!!). he now want to do the ultimate mudder, 8 mile course but goes on for 24hrs. not so sure myself. next one is in scotland which i think he has already signed up for. if u r going to do it the best thing to do is running in the forest!

    tough mudder!

That was good! fantastic day, cool, dry and sunny. Water was cold Obstacles were easy tbh. u need to be able to run some distance The electric obstacle ( 1st one) was bloody horrible!!!! without sounding funny i didnt think 10000 V would be that strong! it was like someone hitting u in the back with a lump hammer! One guy slipped and broke his leg 2nd obstacle from the end ( about 500m away). slipped down the high jump and hooked his leg on the hand rail and was stuck there, couldnt get himself down. not nice my time 2hrs. not bad for 12 miles and 35 obstacles! sore knees today though

    vauxhall movano

lol no you havent. I started with a landy, had a new engine fitted at 60k, i got it at about 90k. more service history than i had ever seen. What a piece of S!!!. Constantly broke down, about once a month! tried loads of the local garages, u would think i brought in some exoctic high tec machine, not something designed in the 50's. had a lav with the transit engine, 30 k and about 4yrs old, immaculate. Cue the above! my transit was brand new and faultless but some swine relived me of it and the insurance co is about to pull down my pants and .... me:blushing: So now i cant afford a brand new truck. I belive to a certain degree that some vehicles are good, others seem cusred from the start. I am going to go have a look at the one above and go from there. thanks for the info

    vauxhall movano

thanks guys Good to see no horror stories jumping right out from the start! Mileage i find never changes, from my old 130 landy to a brand new tranny i always seem to get the same miles from £50. Just a quick one for whiteoaks u say 1000 on repairs is yours older or high mileage? i know my last tranny was new but only every serviced it in the (almost 2 yrs i had it) not a single thing broke. You know how it is you never know what is ture theses days hence why i am asking. I remember there were horror stories about transits needing new clutchs but they were linked to the flywheel so it cost £700+ where the previous modle was like £50 for a new clutch. I never came accross this but i guess someone must have. Thanks for the replys
  7. are these any good? need to find a replacement for my transit and one of these has popped up. I dont know anything about them, only major difference i can see is it has single rear wheels. Used VAUXHALL MOVANO 3500 CDTI MWB Tipper Diesel Vans | Van Trader UK a major concern i have is if i get another transit will the pykies be back once i replace it for the replacement? that was exactly what they did when they stole my tools, they came back 4wks to the day and broke in again, lucly i moved so they didnt get anything. if i got a vauxhall, renualt or a cabstar these arent the trucks they use so am i less like to have another visit? Please and words of wisdom greatly apreciated! many thanks
  8. the worst thing is any other bit of kit i can go out and buy staright away, the truck with a proper body takes weeks. Tip master have a 8wk delay! In 8 wks the banks will be forcing me out of my home, kids will have no food. ALso insurance is going to take at leaset 2-3wks if im lucky so i dont have the money to replace the truck right now when i need to. potentially i may lose jobs from people who have already been waiting 8 wks for there turn! The market is pants for second hand truck too, especially as i am forced to take into account the stupid emissions rules for london ( so really got to be Euro 4 up). Calling the main dealers is painful to say the least, mention tipper and they react like i switched to chinese!!! Call a renualt dealer today ref the traffic, didnt even mention tipper and the woman didnt have a clue what i was on about for about 5 mins! All they want is to sell u brand new drop sides. I think the biggest thing i have learnt so far is why bother with proper bodies, made out of light weight materials. Tip master quoted between 5-8.8k for a body similar to what i had. For that money i might as well have a few fines off vosa for been over weight and i will still be about 8k better off! Seriously pissed off for been screwed for been honest.
  9. we the old bill came out last night for a staetment, only 14 hrs later! even he said it was most likely the gypsies ( didnt think they were allowed to call them that) and basically said unless they r stupid (WHICH THE POLICE KNOW THEY R NOT ) then the only chance is if ANPR picks up the plates. So there goes a nice truck. And yes i do blame them because from the day they r born they r programmed to steal anything they can. Problem is when people make excuses for them. They should round them up and make them prove owner ships of all they have, if they cant take it away. when they drive around stop them. waste carries licences etc. not got one- take the trucks. all the stolen scrpe on the back= mandatory jail time. too many do gooders crying they have rights. have more damn rights than us stupid honest hard workers. If i tip up on a local football field do u think i get wriiten worning and 7 days to move, or handcuffs and a fine?
  10. what gets me, call me wrong for sugesting but it always seems to coincide with when the fair ground comes to town. they come and half the garages get broken into, my truck goes, my other truck got broken into. my mums house got broken into. got a sainsbury delivery today and the driver was saying he hears the same thing with nearly every other deilvery he has made! old bill still hasnt bothered to come out yet! with all the bits and vat it was a 30k truck, the old bill dont give a damn, insurance not bothered , can take weeks to get anything sorted! in the mean time 3 men and families are not earning a living. what a poo day!
  11. Not really. With the orange writing its obvious but if resprayed i am not sure. The body is a custom body arb , made in bristol. got a ladder rack with 2 holes on each side to hook the ladder on, a roller shutter box with a home made shelf in the middle. Otherwise its really standard. cheers
  12. yeah i wasnt sure about the reg hence i left it out. maby a moderator can edit my post to remove the company name for me please?
  13. Got up for work to find my transit gone. Taken from out the front of my house. Black 2010 tansit tipper with tool box. Got bright orange sign writing on the side with Wood chips tree surgery. Stolens from bracknell berkshire some time through the night (10-5am). Any sightings please pass the word. Not sure if i should post the reg. cheers
  14. Taking this down on friday the 11th of may if anybody wants some or is local. Afriad i cant find the pics i took of it. Many thanks Jose
  15. Laser! I had mine years ago, different meathod. No cutting open a flap as is sone theses days, they just burnt away till the eye was the right shape. Sore for a week! But now i never look back. Couldnt handle going back to contacts and glasses. not to mention very quickly it makes financial sense too. WOrd of caution it can go wrong, a mate i know had his done and 1 eye turned out with worse vision then it started with. and they did it twice but no joy.
  16. Yep sometimes we really have to bite our tounge! We were very lucky in that the co we subbed to took the hit ( they are massive too) but its very annoying as we did it to the letter of our quote. Anyway back to work for them some more in the morning!
  17. had one for 4 yrs now. \never let us down yet. Always keep the blades sharp and its fantastic! Very light to move and under the 750 tow weight for licenses got after 97. Had to change a bearing after about 3 yrs but its chipped absolutely tones of stuff! only down side is as its so small i cant see it behind my truck which makes reverseing a bit more skillfull! had a yellow entec (which became timber wolf i belive) which had a koler engine which developed a fueling problem which nobody could every seem to fix. Ended up px ing it in for a new one, best move every!
  18. lol we get it all the time, thing is its never a real h&S issue, its just a teanant ( living for free) wanting more free work doing! had one recently where we pollarded a london plane, the tenant wanted the tree down. We expalined to her that the hosing association was not willing to pay for the removal, we did the work. As soon as we left she put in a complaint. we were told to come back and reduce the tree further, as this is what the tenant told us to do in the first place! Didnt realise we were to take orders from the tenants. We said no as we had done exactly as we quoted. any further work would be charged for. Housing asociation then demaned a site meeting, so we had to do a 70 mile round trip for the h/a woman to tip up, not say a word to me (rude woman) say we r not paying you and then left. luckly we were subbing for another company so we got paid but they took the hit. what can u do? thing is if u complain they just dont bother to use u again! What bugs me is there is an army of free loaders out there who make a living out of demanding stuff, as soon as they dont get extras the complain and the housing people automatically take there word over yours! ok rant over:001_smile:
  19. i will try and find the pics i took last year. Cheers jose
  20. Hi all Taking down a london plane in east london, E6 in about 3 weeks. Just wondering if anybody local want some wood? Going to be using a crane so will have a couple big lumps off it, nothing too long as for its girth its not a tall tree. Cheers Jose
  21. Smoke came out of the bonnet of my car, pulled over and opend it up, there was Fire!! turns out the ac had seized up. how much to replace and flush- £838 combined with the week off with the kids makes me feel just a little poor!
  22. thanks for the repleys guys. Dont you just hate it when people start picking holes in a good relationship! We have a good thing going, always treat the company fair, only a couple of times they questioned out prices, got another quote in only to fine on one we were 50% cheaper, the other was not far off that either! Oh well.
  23. Been asked by a company i do work for to produce a schedule of rates for them, which is a bit of a pain because a lot of the work requires a lot of traveling, plus we have a relaxed relationship were we often go out of way to help them/ advise them on tree issues which we dont get paid for. Has anybody got any links to a general kind of layout for one? Been looking around but not had much luck. Many thanks
  24. Hi all Got a couple of landy bits, was for my 130 defender, 1995 plate (m reg).
