  4. Haven't got any of the real stuff at the moment so this will have to do before I go out.
  5. Going to a knees up in a village hall with a local folk/rock/dance band playing. A bit more wholsesome compared to last few years and yes, many cider's will be had.
  6. Hopefully 2013 will bring some common sense to people. Im just waiting for the topic 'i keep getting stuck in my 4x4' 'what is the funny little gearstick for?'
  7. I just got a new wooden plug for my ear after having a metal one for a few years, you get alot of cheesey puss build up with metal - it smells rank! Wood or plastic is the way to go if you don't want the cheese!
  8. Usually around £8/hr for new climbers rising to £12/hr after a few years (in east Anglia) - that's PAYE.
  9. Calling Dr Greenthumb !
  10. Please don't post stuff like that again. Sounds like ... no I'm not saying anymore: D *Shudder
  11. Get the cheaper red hitch climber, the fancy polished bearings on the 'rapide' won't make a difference for slack tending.
  12. There was a thread about that video and someone mentioned the teeth caused alot of wear on the rope and it just wasn't a very good climbing setup. Have you tried a hitch climber or mechanical devices like a lockjack? I think you should think about a different system, not just polishing the turd that is the humble prussic.
  13. brilliant "The big shots are all nuts, a great laugh and the working class are f-ing nuts, it's the middle that sucks - it's the v neck pullover volvo crowd that f the whole thing up!" I agree 100% with this.
  14. Most vague question 2012 ?
  15. Just to put it in perspective, two of us spent 3 months travelling around Europe in a campervan, covering 4000 miles for just over £2k.
  16. £2600 for a week a bargain? Some people live on another planet No disrespect mate, guess you are used to a different standard of living.
  17. Does it have to be abroad? I have spent many happy summers in cornwall at trevone campsite, £5 a night (doesn't matter how many people you have with you, if you have 6 people in your family, you still pay £5) - It's simple, has toilets and a couple of taps. You can have a fire., there's always cool people staying there and a mile from 2 of the best beaches in cornwall. £35/week for the family is not too bad If it HAS to be in another country, try the south west coast of France, near Dune du Pyla. We were there in july and it was beautiful weather, massive sandy beaches and clear water (good for surfing aswell!). Good cycling through the forest that backs onto the beaches.
  18. You do realise that you are all posting in a spam thread...? There's one almost exactly the same on another forum I go on.
  19. Oh wow a 'nose right tool' - lucky spammer!
  20. So far this... looks like an excellent read and is also written by a local Suffolk man Roger deakin.
  21. Click 'reply' at the bottom of a thread, then under the text box click 'manage attachments'. you can then browse your computer for the images.
  22. Fiasco more like
  23. I wasn't going to buy more, but after reading the last few posts I thought 'ahh why not....'
  24. there was talk on here about trying to get the road tax duty down on aspen. quite right too! if red can be half the price of normal derv (and still be used on the road), why can't aspen be cheaper?
