  1. just mot as class seven The engine is not LEZ compliant so no working inside the m25
  2. I have seen bulldozer blocks that have been stitched back together with grub screws threaded along the line of the crack then more in between to completely seal the joint, a run of weld was then placed along the top and ground of .When painted the repair was invisible, you may have to strip the engine depending on crack location
  3. no they do not fit but it is possible to make new back plates for the attachments or buy at some cost from avant
  4. no plate, the number plate was on but no serial no or weight to identify chipper the number plate belongs to the towing vehicle
  5. yes ministry stopped us at Dagenham no plate on timber wolf =£60.00 fine
  6. your chipper needs to have a plate it is not legal to run on the road without the chipper having a plate stating weight and identity
  7. way off we are nearer to 65p but it depends on so much, transport, soil, and supply of plants
  8. We have given up on paslode too much trouble now use air which we find faster more powerful far more reliable and much cheaper especially for fence work
  9. sam your message box is full
  10. my 130 with driver, full tank of fuel, as a flat bed no tipping gear carries 1.195 tonnes weighed last month fully loaded with wood chip 1.2m sides 4.9 tonnes i was working on site with a weigh bridge and did not leave site!
  11. probably not transit is light commercial not dual use
  12. i think the problem is in the words hire or reward anybody know the legal definition of either ?
  13. Just read Response to public consultation on implementing EC regulation 1071/2009 page 47 I understand this says that the small trailer exemption stays as long as the trailer is not for hire or reward ie own business use but an o licence is required if you transport goods for others, is this definition for the trailer exemption what we have now?
  14. disco and range rover towing a trailer with mam of 3500kgs have always needed a tacho unless for private personal use
  15. i thought that anything 3500kg and over required a tacho and operators licence
  16. Pm me have good tip for all arb waste close to Benfleet
  17. Found out to my cost cvi are not worth the paper there written on.They need to be backed up with written instructions from the client. A large national construction company issued cvi's to us, the quantity surveyors refused to pay as we had not agreed rates or recived an order from the surveyor, A VERY costly experiance. I domestic work they might be better, I would make them detailed
  18. How about making the chipper hydraulic?, then powering from the towing vehicle, To make it work the chipper would have to be small. the power could come from pto or diesel power pack this would alow positioning of the chipper anywhere on the trailer.
  19. I will try to upload some next week
  20. Then all you have to do is make the body. there is plenty of space between the chassis and the support rails to make saw or tool boxes, i have fitted mine with a load handler instead of tipping gear to reduce weight.
  21. the weakest part of a 110 chasis is behind the cab this is the area that the plates go over from memory the plates weld either side of the chassis and are thicker than the original steel
  22. They already have the weight capacity so no need to uprate std 110 have mam of 3050kgs and would over load very easily,a 130 has better weight distibution on the axles.
  23. I have a stretched 110 make it is easiest to stretch 3.5 tonne spec vehicles but not difficult to up rate a 3050 tonne the plates to stretch the chassis are avaialble on the internet. All it needs is time and attention to detail to ensure the two halves line up. then replace the prop shaft fuel and brake lines the wiring loom was spliced. Unless you get underneath it is not possible to tell that it has been stretched my insurance was cheaper as it has less seats. Mine was inspected by vosa as i declared the chassis length change and by nfu engineer for insurance
  24. Do check that the insurance offered covers road use as well as loss or damage, my hired in plant insurance does not cover road use, i add tractors to my commercial vehicle policy with nfu try local ag dealers
  25. count me in, let me know place and time
