    Growing trees

I've got a few bonsai's coming on from seed. And a couple of others from seed too. List of whats in the garden (pots) so far... Bonsai's - Silver birch x 2, Sweet Chestnut x 2, English oak x 1, Horse chestnut x 3, Sycamore x 1, Silver Fir x 1, Avocado x 1 Normals - Oaks x 10+, Sweet Chestnut x 5, Silver birch x 5. Trying to propagate some exotics but no success yet
  19. Cheers:thumbup: Just got the sun at the right moment:biggrin: There's some cracking photos on here!
  20. This last one looks like the orange birch bolete, quite common around me at the moment:001_smile: First could be as you say but not sure on the second..
  21. Agreed Scott and quip. I've recommended this for removal (already had before posted, just wanted to see what the consensus was). Pics aren't great to be honest but Crown is weighted towards the road and kretzsch is on tension side of root flare. This is the first of two syc's on site with visible fb's out of 14 large sycs. David at the moment it's just fields to the west and road to the east but it was a 5837 survey for a potential development.
  22. Following on from this thread... http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/homeowners-tree-advice-forum/64750-beech-meripilus-giganteus-2.html What are peoples thoughts and opinions (felling vs retaining) on a largish sycamore with Kretzschmaria deusta, considering the target would be a busy main road... (on the other side of the screen planting) I have my own thoughts and opinions.... anyone else?
